Guy is fine. I think Fields his improvement from game 1 to now blows Mac out of the water. Fields and Lawrence look better right now.

You haven't been watching any of them play have you?

I have NFL game pass. I watch the condensed games cuz it's quick. You still see every snap. I've watched three Patriots games and the last four Bear games. Fields improvement has been dramatic. I will admit I didn't see Pats Browns. I also have not seen much Jags. I saw Pats Panthers and thought Jones looked poor.

Mac goes for 19-23 198 yards 3 TDS 0 picks last game and we hear he's nothing special.

Lawrence puts up 31-61 280 yards 0 TDS 0 INTS over last 2 games and he looks better?

This thread definitely brings the lulz

LOL.

Mac Jones is the best rookie so far. It's not close.

Thought experiment for you. Imagine Mac Jones in a Jags jersey. Imagine Lawrence in a Patriots jersey. How does that change the equation?

Do you mean the kid that REALLY wanted the 49ers to draft him?

I agree. It is his to lose at this point. In the Steeler system, he will keep putting up numbers.

Rashawn Slater is going to be a pro bowl rookie and Jamar Chase is putting up inside numbers, too.

Oh, Chase, good call. He is a monster already.

Your post says look better right now. Not would look better if we can change history.

So for me to see who looks better right now, I don't need to imagine anything.

But to play your game. I think Lawrence would look better than he has up to this point. I don't think however he would look as good as Mac has in NE.

On the flip side, I think the Jags would look better than they have up to this point. Not saying they'd have a winning record or anything but they would look better. He would imo have better weapons and also would be throwing more thus better numbers. Yes oline would be worse but Mac puts his guys in position pre snap to handle that stuff. Thus improving Jags oline by that alone and getting ball out quick. Mac Jones has been knocked down as much as Trevor but not pressured as often as Trevor. He is literally the most blitzed QB in tbe league right now. Before the draft we were told how he wouldn't be able to handle that.

That said, I don't know Meyers philosophy as to being a risk it no biscuit kind of guy or not. Which wouldn't do Jones any favors if he is.

Dude even makes Kendrick Bourne look like a star. Because he has such good ball placement and accuracy. Bourne is a scrub. If you make him look good you have talent.

lol 12 of his 23 passes were screens and those accounted for 75% of his passing yards. He played well, but the NE offensive game plan and the execution of it by the entire offense is what won them the game.

<insert>
"He didn't really have to do much"
"Game manager"
"The defense was great"
"The running game was great"
"It was an excellent game plan"
"Bellicheat and McDaniels are the best"

Brains might explode if some fans actually said:
"The QB played really well"

Posters with egg on their face continuing with their foolish takes. lol

Forget selecting him with our 12th pick, some posters said they wouldn't even touch him in the 4th rd and would rather punt the QB position to next year than take Mac. I'm sure the Pats are happy selecting him 15th lol

I went back through this thread at the time before the draft, and I gotta say, you probably should g even be allowed to post in here. Some of the stuff you put out was absolute trash regarding Jones. Just ludicrous. Now he comes out guns blazing, making your posts look even more idiotic, and your doubling down. Learn to take the L and move on

You should read NYs takes, the leader of the anyone but Mac brigade leading into the draft, he had some real dozzies lol

I don't know if Mac is the guy but this over-obsession with tools and measurables will end up biting teams in the ass at some point in the near future. You're going to have some of these project QB's with a rocket arm and tremendous speed that will turn out to be epic busts and you'll wind up with a dude that is slow as molasses, doesn't have the most impressive arm but will end up a perennial Pro Bowl QB for a decade+ because of what they have going on above the neck, the stuff you can't teach but people overlook anyways because it can't be measured with a stopwatch or a scale.

Agreed. This is what some have been arguing since the before he draft. There are a lot of other little things that go into quarterbacking that need to be considered. To scoff at them because a QB lacks speed and arm strength is foolish.
Wasn't it the consensus that Mac was the most ready to play in the NFL QB in the draft? He was the one that was ready to play now, but was also the one already at his ceiling? Why is his play so far a surprise to anybody?

That's just because he's more advanced with the nuances of the position than the others. He started 1 year and some change. Lawrence, Wilson, and Fields all started more games.
He works his ace off in the film room and loves football. Not on social media like some of these other guys.
I just come here for the positivity.
