Get real man. Brady is the GOAT. Jones is a limited rook. Read the Pats own local paper they talk about how they are trying to "hide" Jones. Play great D, run the ball, easy throws to the TEs and RBs, etc. I've seen the Pats team win games, like for example 25-0 over Atlanta. The Patriots D scored more than the entire Atlanta team. Jones isn't carrying he's being carried. To be clear, I think Jones is playing beyond his years like a vet and has handled himself well. But let's not get carried away with Brady / Jones comparisons. Jones is lucky to be on New England as opposed to NYJ or JAX where he would be up the creek right now.

Say it again,....I don't think they heard you.

First place. 7 and 4. Keep hating. Any other rookie from that class gets drafted by the patriots and they're 4 and 7, or cam is starting.

Nice response.

Nobody is saying he is the next Brady. But Brady looked just like him in his first couple of years. It's the same team. To say Mac is at his ceiling s just stupid.

And there have been many QBs that prove otherwise. Plenty of QBs that flamed out after 1 year and they looked much better than Mac. Plus, the game is different now than it was 20 years ago. Most good QBs back then didn't even put up the same stats that rookie QBs can put up now. An above average year right now would be considered really good 20 years ago.

Hes a rookie. He should be given the same amount of leeway that fields Wilson and Lance are getting. The scrutiny from Mac haters is beyond ridiculous.

Fields has nine sacks and two fumbles. He's a rookie and he's learning.

Mac throws an interception. He's a noodle arm loser.

You're right. He's a rookie but a rookie that's started every game and has one of the top defenses in the league. I've seen posts that have already declared Trey a mistake even though he's had one start against one of the better teams in the league. His performance was okay even though the Niners lost. They lost by even more with Jimmy starting and playing at home with Murray and Hopkins not playing. All this proves nothing but people look at stuff like this and jump to conclusions.

We won't really know how good any of these guys are until they've played 2 or 3 years. One good game or even one decent season aren't enough to declare a QB a hit. We've seen countless QBs that had a great first season and then struggled after that.

You gotta stop saying that name. You literally in the first sentence say no one is doing what you do in the second sentence.
Imagine if we took a 2nd round pick from the Pats early for Garoppolo (our only competition for Mac), used that $27M in FA during the pandemic where it was a buyer's market, kept our draft picks and taken Mac Jones.

JG >>>> Mac right now. We can still trade JG this offseason we have him under contract.

Lol you tell him "Nice response" yet you replied to none of the OP's points. You just spit out a couple facts and an errant claim. Then again, when do you ever give legit replies?

Yes,...a large segment of us here have a strong need to jump to early conclusions about everything.

A 2nd is not confirmed, but would've did it. Taking Mac Jones, though, easy no. Might as well had just let Jimmy play out his contract.

Thank god we didn't
50 percent of Macs completions are behind the LOS or 5 yard dings and dunks. Sound familiar? Don't care what the world thinks we took the right guy. In time I think that will be proven.

If we were going to take Mac then should have just stayed Jimmy. Everything that was said in comparison pre-draft holds true. Most NFL ready-okay. A little better Jimmy G-maybe?

Now let's see what we bring to the table after a one year on field Trey, Can't wait.

Almost 100% of Trey's plays are from the bench.

Mac Jones throws touchdowns and wins games. Even Peyton Manning is fawning over him. He throws more than 5 yard passes. Watch the games.

Don't make up straw man situations to whine about stuff

Fields gots roasted for taking sacks

His draft profile said he had a slow processor. It was the biggest concern for him as a pro. When he takes repeated sacks it hits on that huge red flag.

Mac's biggest concern is his arm strength and beating a quality defense with his arm. How he handles his next 4 games will tell us a ton

Oh my god. Even Peyton Manning is fawning over him. Holy s**t. Gonna watch every game from now on. Peyton said.. oh my god.

The media fawning (and yes that is now what he is) is always chasing the weeks flavor. 2022 flavor maybe Trey Lance.
