Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

Lol at people that talked s**t about the hoodie last offseason. I told people he'd be back.

They've got the right formula for winning. Play tough defense, collect turnovers, run the football along with some timely passing offense.

A couple good ones mixed in with alot of routine stuff.

Nah man.....

people studied this out..... and assured us every one of those passes would be intercepted in the NFL.

50 percent of Macs completions are behind the LOS or 5 yard dings and dunks. Sound familiar? Don't care what the world thinks we took the right guy. In time I think that will be proven.

And yet, he has what? 4? 5? less pass plays over 20 yards then Mahomes? Rodgers? Pretty crazy considering the chunk of the season he has played with practice squad players all over his o-line.

No one is going to argue that Mac has a weapon advantage on most high end passers.....that offense is doing what it can with what it has.... When the opportunity is there for a deeper play....the guy is making deeper plays more consistently then most Rookie QBs.

Plenty of QBs that flamed out after 1 year and they looked much better than Mac.

Plenty?

Who?

I am sure you can throw up some scramblers that were not set up for long term success... but I am genuinely interested to see your list of passers that looked much better then Mac that flamed out after one year.

He's clearly a legit NFL QB,...especially with a defense like NE's. The only question will be his ceiling. Still alot to be seen.

RG3
Mark Rypien
Tommy Maddox
Derek Anderson
Scott Mitchell
Steve Beuerlein

just to name a few. Having a great season doesn't necessarily guarantee that it will be sustained or improved upon. All we can really say @ this point is he has a helluva defense, command of the offense, and looks to be the part so long as he's hidden enough.

Teams will adjust,...but give them some time. His ability to actually carry an offense we just haven't seen yet. Keep calm.

Mac Jones is still throwing touchdowns and winning games I see.

My gosh he's knocking on the door to the top 10…..in his rookie season

RG3 65.6% 3200 yards 20 tds 5 ints

Much better? Eh...maybe lost mobility and his career ended

Mark Rypien 16 game estimate 54.8% 2698 yards 28 tds 20 ints Much better? No

Tommy Maddox.... with only 4 starts had to pull the actual game logs
4 games as a starter

Buffalo 46% 122 yards 1td 0 int Loss
Dallas 58 % 104 yards 3 tds 4 int Loss
Sea 42% 127 yards 1td 2 int Loss
Raiders 69% 207 yards 0td 1int Loss

Much better? No

Derek Anderson ..... Now we are down to 3 starts

Tampa 37% 123 yards 0td 4int Loss
Bal 71% 223 2td 2int Loss
Pitt 56% 276 1td 1int Loss

Much Better? No

Scott Mitchell ................Didn't start to year 3 So Much better? No

Steve Beuerlein 16 game estimate 44% 3268 yards 16td 14int

Much Better? No

For guys we are estimating out to 16 games, Mac already has Completion percentage, yards, tds and INT advantages over them.

Mac Jones is likely to exceed his Estimated year end totals based on his last 5 games but for completion:

Estimated Mac Jones (per espn) 71% 3695 yards 20tds 12 ints

Except for RG3 are you referring to their rookie seasons?
