Just like Jimmy G. Last 4:
MJ: 854YDS, 7TDS, 2INTS. 4-0.
JG: 914YDS, 7TDS, 2INTS. 3-1
I have seen enough, we should have taken this guy . gonna be depressing watching his success going forward

This goes along with a predraft article regarding a Joe Montana roomate from Notre Dame playing catch with Mac in florida and telling his dad that catching the ball felt and looked just like Joe's coming off Mac's hands..

To be fair, his accuracy wasn't on display yesterday. Missed some throws and high on others. Think about that though. He missed some throws but still completed 72% of his passes for over 300 yards.

I like when they use the 'last six weeks' and leave out the fact that only 6 other QBs (Jimmy, Hurts, Ryan, Wentz, Tannehill) have played 6 games in that stretch.

• 2nd in yards (1379) - wrong. He is 6th behind Jimmy (1417), Stafford (1478), Carr (1468), Herbert (1459), Rodgers (1442). All but Jimmy have only played 5 games vs Mac's 6.

• 4th in TD's (9) - wrong. He is 8th behind Brady (13), Wentz (12), Stafford (11), Rodgers (11), Herbert (10), Cousins (10), Allen (10). All but Wentz have played 5 games vs Mac's 6.

Maybe it's old data versus publish date, or off sampling dates with a Thursday game in there.

looking at the last 6 games for Brady, Rogers, Carr and Mac Jones does paint a picture.

Brady

1636 yards 15td 7int

Rodgers

1637 yards 13td 1int

Carr

1812 yards 9td 5int

Jones

1378 yards 9td 2int

Jones 139 yard game matters with a small sample size, but his TD to Interception ratio is good stuff.

the fact you have to bring out big time QBs, because you can't compare him to the other rookies in this draft pretty much is the story here
People that proclaim a QB great or a bust after half a season only show their ignorance. I could fill a small book with QBs that started out great and ended up average or terrible. The reverse is also true. Some struggled in their first or second season and went on to have HOF careers. Anyone that's watched football for more than a few seasons knows this but still we see fans that go nuts over early success or trash any player that isn't successful right from the start.
