Obviously he gets no credit for this game but they're 9-4, 15th in passing yards, they were 7th in scoring going into last week. All of this as a rookie. You guys are working extra hard trying to spin that as not good.

If I put that number line on Lance we'd be hearing he's our next HoFer.

Facts. Especially that last line.

Even his teammates didn't think he did s**t

imagine thinking a QB who threw the ball 3 times beat another qb.

What excuses? Bills can't run the ball, haven't been able to do that for years. Pats won like they have all year. D, FGs, and running the ball...good job handing the ball off lol.

Why rely on the run when you have a stud like Josh Allen and his amazing arm and mobility?

Jones had a higher rating than Allen despite being no factor at all in the game. It confirms wha tI've felt for years. QB rating is a joke. I often has little or no relation to how much the QB affected the game.

PFF says, "Hold my beer." Did you see the Jimmy Garoppolo and Tom Compton grades from Sunday?

Yes I did. What a joke. We have way too many stats now that don't really mean much other than in fantasy leagues. Stats can be fun sometimes but eventually you have to use your eyes and ask yourself, who had the most influence on the game. The guy that threw 20 times and completed 15 for 190 yards and had a high QBR or the guy that aired it out and had 320 yards and 3 TDs but also had a lower completion percentage and an INT. I've seen many games where Jimmy has the higher QBR but at least 100 fewer yards and fewer TDs. The formula is faulty and consider the situation, game importance and other factors that are involved.

I couldn't agree more. Grading is especially hard when you don't know the play call, design or the differing responsibilities within it.

That's why you hear legit QB breakdowns that always have this line: "Now, I'm not sure what he's coached up there to do on this one but..."

If you don't hear that line, move on.

Some positions and stats are much easier to be objective with but others are super hard. I used to throw a fit back in the day with Ahmed Brooks (SAM) and Aldon Smith (WILL) were graded like they had the same exact responsibilities.

I was told that if you have a QB with a cannon for an arm and wheels, you don't need anything else to win games in the modern NFL.

Cosell is one of the best at saying that. He analyzes film as well as anyone but he often says that he doesn't know what play was called and what the QB was supposed to do. He can guess based on his experience but that's about it.

That arm and legs was the only thing that kept them in the game....NE goes behind in that game, they're f**ked with their QB. There's a reason they didn't want him throwing the ball.
