Just quit or go down fighting?

If the kicker didnt blow a short FG Allen was the definite hero. His athletic ability gave his team a chance at winning and he got his team in position on 2 separate drives in bad conditions.

The process was good...this result failed but there will be a next time.
Pardon the pun, but it was the wind that blew the FG, not the kicker.

The next game in Foxborough will be a good test. Allen will be able to complete more passes but so will Jones. In the meantime, Buffalo still can't run the ball. I'm calling NE the winner again.

lol good pun but kicker failed badly

wind blowing left to right and his kick was aimed at the right post before wind took it wide

he should have aimed left and let wind push it to the middle

The weather played right into Belichick's hands. The Bills are a terrible running team.Their QB is often the leading rusher. If they had a running game as good as SF then the Bills wouldn't have needed Allen to throw 30 times. Maybe. That wind on top of the cold made it nearly impossible to pass.

From the mouth of Belichick :

"We were talking about that last night. We can use our whole passing game. All the pass plays we have, they haven't seen," he said with a laugh."

Buffalo has no tape on how NE planned to attack their D thru the air and or how they planned to adjust with the ebb and flow of the game.

Pat's saw how Buffalo prepared for, attacked and defended against their run game and how Buffalo adjusted as the game went on.

Bill playing 4D chess while McDermott is playing checkers. He definitely has a slight advantage wrt to game planning for their next match up in 2 weeks.

My guess would be a lot of screens and passes under 5 yards. Just like every other game they've played.

This also works both ways as now the Pats have no film on how the Bills defense planned to attack their passing game.

But they do know how they defended their run game which they can use to help the run game next time around and also to set up the pass game off of the run game.

And they do know how Buffalo has defended the pass all season against other teams. Buffalo does not know if the Pats will do more of the same or if they have new wrinkles and can get into sections of the play book they hadn't opened up yet. Tough to prepare for formations, motions, plays and all the like if it isn't on tape.

Again, Bill has a slight advantage in game planning for round two. That isn't good for Buffalo and any hopes they still have to win that division.

Why rely on the run when you have a stud like Josh Allen and his amazing arm and mobility?

I was told that if you have a QB with a cannon for an arm and wheels, you don't need anything else to win games in the modern NFL.

If you have a cannon arm AND mobility, you can transcend anything...even end world hunger!

We don't know where he was aiming. What we do know is that he was kicking from the left hash. With the camera mounted in the middle, it was going to look like he was aiming too far right when it might be that he was aiming at the middle but the wind pushed it much farther than he thought.

At one point in the game, they showed an Allen pass in that same direction and the wind pushed it right. If you have ever played golf in high, gusty wind (I've never played with 50 MPH gusts), you know that gauging the wind drift is very difficult.

To get back to the Mac Jones part, this is all the more reason not to throw the ball if you do not absolutely have to throw it. Even the Bills, who play in windy conditions often, struggled to make it work.

As to the year in which Mac Jones will be inducted into the HOF, we will have to wait for more data.

What excuses? Bills can't run the ball, haven't been able to do that for years. Pats won like they have all year. D, FGs, and running the ball...good job handing the ball off lol.

But with a mobile QB like Allen and a QB that throws deep wasn't that supposed to open up the run game?

Their RBs are seeing some of the lowest rate of 8+ men in the box SO either they suck as RBs or their OL can't run block...that doesn't have anything to do with QB play. nice try though

He's had better games, maybe save the flex for games when he actually has to throw the football.

everything you post lacks so much context that it hurts my brain

mad about handing the ball off 46 times and throwing it 3 times for 19 yards lol? Yeah you're right Jimmy G or Hoyer couldn't accomplish that...I didn't think people would be licking Jones nuts after completing 19 yards but here we are. I talk about people lacking context, but this takes it to a whole knew level.

The WZ is a weird place.
