Lol I wouldn't expect you to understand that he's a rookie.
???
Mac Jones just throws INTs and loses games.

So when NE played a legit team (not in a wind storm), doesn't get an early lead based off running the ball and have to play from behind….Jones can't bail them out with his elite arm talent?

Weird it's like some of us were saying that. Kid has played about how I thought he would in NE.

Just wait a couple more years, he's only a rookie. He will run a 4.4 soon and have Pat's throwing ability.

You mean like how he constantly puts his team in position to win (even with mistakes) as a rookie but they lose because his teammates fumble in the RZ, can't tackle, have key penalties, etc.

It's almost like QB's actually can't transcend every problem on a team in a team sport. This sounds a lot like another thread.

LOL. That made me laugh!

A QB also doesn't lead his team to victory throwing it 3 times.

Dont deserve all credit for every win or all blame for every loss. Team game
Dumb mistakes, then puts together a couple nice drives to make it close but can't quite pull it off.

Deja vu.

Oh for sure. I'm not even sure why that's even a debate in the context of that anomalous, outlier game. That was like our crazy rain game in Washington and the Bosa slide.

Hence...team game.

yeah his two INTs don't mean anything…Jones didn't throw a INT in the RZ?

when they can't run or their D can't dominate then what?

it's almost like certain QBs need top end elements around them win games, but when those things aren't working and they don't win….people aren't allowed to criticize the most important position in sports. If ya'll can get on your knees over McCorkle when he game manages wins, you should be able to point out loses when he doesn't do enough.

Rookie pains. Bad INT's yet he still came back and got within 3 until the defense collapsed and gave up a TD. Team game.

My point is overall, he's done that many times this year and came back to either put his team in position to win at the end and he's won and lost (when the other parts of a team game didn't hold up). That's very impressive for any QB let alone a rookie.

I understand you are incapable of seeing anything beyond a QB but I was just speaking from an overall perspective and team aspect. It's always easier to focus on an INT than a missed tackle for 7 that actually ended the game.

He spoke about the run game and the defense. I think that's seeing things "beyond a QB." You're just kinda avoiding it.

If his punter didn't give up a TD he probably wins this game with wentz only completing 5 passes for 57 yards.

That seems like the defense would have won the game then. They held the Colts to just 275 yards of offense, but still lost.

As he likes to say...narratives and QBscuses or something like that.

However, I do think Mac Jones does deserve some respect (not that NY or others haven't necessarily given it to him). I don't think it's ground breaking to say he's better than Trey RIGHT NOW (also should be obvious and already known) and for what it's worth, I'd like him more than Jimmy G if it wasn't for the extremely punchable face. He doesnt have Jimmy's elite release, but he does have better accuracy, particularly on the deep ball. A lot of the same shortcomings, but on a rookie deal with room for improvement.
