Whoa whoa, I haven't been in here in a month. He's had a really bad stretch by any measure. The play calling and lack of weapons has shown up as well. We will see how he responds for the playoffs.
Still been a great year for him.
Still true , will probably win ROY and a playoff birth.
but definitely regressing right now
Nah, it's Chase, Waddle, or Harris IMO. Waddle is going to have 100+rec/1000+yds as a rookie. Chase could get 80/1300/"12tds. Najee on pace for 1000+ yds rush/75+ receptions/10+ TDS. Jones is 4th.
This is a popularity contest. The NFL has a chance to name a young quarterback on the Patriots who is the heir apparent to Brady... yeah, he's gonna get the award. Hell, they were talking about him as an MVP darkhorse at one point.
Waddle and Chase deserve it more, but they won't get it.
Who? BamaNiner?
Absolutely not. I honestly haven't been over the top on Mac. I'm pretty far down the totem pole on posts about him. I've been more on the "anyone but Lance" train since the start.
Also, draft players from Alabama and the south. That's where your best guys come from. Yet this regime avoids the region.
No they do not. Deebo and Kinlaw are both out of South Carolina. Greenlaw from Arkansas. DJ Jones from Mississippi. Elijah Mitchell from Louisiana.
We took Rueben Foster and look what happened. Just because they don't take every opportunity to draft an Alabama player, does not mean they avoid the region.
Alabama produces more busts than any other school. Admittedly, they produce more pros, but so many of them end up being straight trash. At the end of the day, you're no better with an Alabama prospect than you are with a Central Michigan one.
My point is, if you draft a guy just because he's from Alabama, odds are you will be extremely disappointed.
