Whoa whoa, I haven't been in here in a month. He's had a really bad stretch by any measure. The play calling and lack of weapons has shown up as well. We will see how he responds for the playoffs.
Still been a great year for him.

Still true , will probably win ROY and a playoff birth.

but definitely regressing right now

Nah, it's Chase, Waddle, or Harris IMO. Waddle is going to have 100+rec/1000+yds as a rookie. Chase could get 80/1300/"12tds. Najee on pace for 1000+ yds rush/75+ receptions/10+ TDS. Jones is 4th.

This is a popularity contest. The NFL has a chance to name a young quarterback on the Patriots who is the heir apparent to Brady... yeah, he's gonna get the award. Hell, they were talking about him as an MVP darkhorse at one point.

Waddle and Chase deserve it more, but they won't get it.

Who? BamaNiner?

Absolutely not. I honestly haven't been over the top on Mac. I'm pretty far down the totem pole on posts about him. I've been more on the "anyone but Lance" train since the start.
Also, draft players from Alabama and the south. That's where your best guys come from. Yet this regime avoids the region.

No they do not. Deebo and Kinlaw are both out of South Carolina. Greenlaw from Arkansas. DJ Jones from Mississippi. Elijah Mitchell from Louisiana.

We took Rueben Foster and look what happened. Just because they don't take every opportunity to draft an Alabama player, does not mean they avoid the region.

Alabama produces more busts than any other school. Admittedly, they produce more pros, but so many of them end up being straight trash. At the end of the day, you're no better with an Alabama prospect than you are with a Central Michigan one.

My point is, if you draft a guy just because he's from Alabama, odds are you will be extremely disappointed.

Unless it's a WR.

Alabama has become pretty much every position U. Bama has elite players at every level on each side of the ball, with the exception of qb. That's coming with Bryce.
But yes, the south is where the best athletes come from, the guys mentioned above plus Trent is from Texas, safeties from Alabama, etc.

The best corner from Alabama right now is... Kareem Jackson? Ohio State is killing ya'll at that position, and that's just off the top of my head. Linebackers are trash... Mack Wilson is the best from Bama I guess? Defensive ends are trash, pretty good defensive tackles I'll give you that. Receivers are obviously excellent, good running backs. Offensive line has depth, but nothing special, quarterbacks trash... Alabama quarterbacks always been horrible. OJ Howard is the only tight end, complete bust. Solid safeties.

Outside of a couple positions, Alabama is hardly the NFL U. Maybe Bust U, that's about it.

What about Trevon Diggs, Marlon Humphrey and Patrick Surtain?

Howard isn't the only TE, there is also Irv Smith Jr.

Seems you overlooked some Bama talent in the NFL

Thank you. Not sure any school touches Humphrey Diggs Surtain.
Anderson will be the 1st or 2nd overall pick next year. We ran a base 3-4 for the most part of the dynasty so our edge guys were thick like Jon Allen but now we will start to see some explosive edge rushers.
CJ Mosley is still pro bowl level at LB.
Elite guys at each level

Marshon Lattimore and Denzel Ward are elite. Bradley Roby is still really good. Those three combined are better than Diggs, Humphrey and Surtain. Jeff Okudah who's been hurt all year, was playing excellent football. And if you look historically at Shawn Springs, Nate Clements, Antoine Winfield, Chris Gamble and Ahmad Plummer... I dont think you can deny that OSU puts better corners in the league than Bama.

Alabama is the best program in college football and maybe the best in all of sports, absolutely no question. But the talent in the NFL is overrated... you would expect with the oversaturation of Alabama players in the league this past decade they would own every position... my point is that they don't.

Curious... where are all the posters who drove this thread for the first 10-12 weeks of the season. Fell of a cliff? Should be in here backing your guy, no?

Phoenix and NCommand will be in here pretending that they never cared to begin with, Bama will disappear until his next mediocre game and he'll pop up like usual.

You SOB..I've been over in NT trying to get people out of the Garoppolo thread for weeks to focus on Trey and other team issues and you suck me right back in here.

Lol you're a good sport... you should know by now, the Garoppolo thread will live forever. After the extinction of humanity, the only remnants on this planet will be cockroaches and the Jimmy G thread.

I tried to warn everyone...they never listen to me. And now Jimmy's done and they wasted all those weeks and hours debating a lame duck QB who's 49er career is over.

But you're so spot on!

Happy New Year's!

No biggie. He's just hitting a rookie wall and DC's are getting more and more film on him and adjusting. And on their defense too. Hoodie and he will adjust and add more talent in the off season. Incredible foundation to build upon.

WZ will be beside itself when Trey helps get us to a similar level with our strengths of running, defense and complimentary passing game too.
Almost perfect today so far. 3tds no picks
Pretty sure everyone knew Jags game would be a rebound. They only have 6 INTs on the season and have allowed 300 yard games to Bridgewater and Tua.

I wonder if that's what the Cowboys and Bills thought this season?

Will also likely be one & done like Dak. Seems they maybe playing the bills again and it's a bad matchup for them. I'd rather play Cincy over buf/kc

Tough draw across the board for sure. Hell, those top 3 AFC teams might be better than all the NFC teams.
