He had a "more productive than usual" season for rookie QBs. Wouldn't at all call it great.
Wtf happened to," I'll see you guys in a couple months" lol

Agreed. Mac Jones surprised me slightly early, but ended the season as pretty ok and about how I anticipated. Mac Jones will be the darling of this draft at QB that Pats fans will be able to hang their hat on for maybe another season, but after that when some of these more athletic, and more raw QB's, start to catch up in their development. I don't see Mac Jones getting a ton better, maybe slightly, but he'll never be a superstar QB in this league though if he stays with BB and the Pats he'll probably maintain a nice win%.

Lol,...what is it you have against fast QBs? Is being fast a crime?

Huh? Since when is Allen slow? And Pat is very athletic. Sorry your team got knocked out.

I have nothing against fast QBs. Being fast is not a crime.

Obviously I was talking about the fast ones that got knocked out by the pocket passers that are a thing of the past.

There's no real "thing of the past" storyline. People like our HC simply would prefer to take a chance on a guy with more athletic ability than less of it,... that's all.

I can tell you are apparently 12 months late to the party.

Yeah, at the end of the day, you've still got Garoppolo, Stafford, Rodgers, Brady & Tannehill vs. Mahomes, Allen & Burrow.

We've already added two more young, explosive athletic QB's to the playoffs this year. But the old pocket passers are still holding on and still leading in count in the final 8.

You can still win a Superbowl no matter the style but you usually have to be at the top of that sub-group. Different systems. Different talent around them. Different reliance on the QB position.

It's fun to watch unfold but we're still reminded, this is still a team game.

And when one part is falling like pass protection, it doesn't matter if you're Garoppolo, Brady or Mahomes in the Superbowl, it's game over. QB's can't transcend everything.

Because nobody actually as good OL depth so a couple injuries and your Qb runs for his life no matter who he is.

Exactly my point.

But I was just using that one team issue as an example given the two Superbowl losses with Garoppolo and Mahomes. At least Kansas City learned from it and bought themselves 5 new starters. It took them a while to gell but here they are. Ours is playing really well too and here we are (run blocking).
