Clearly you don't understand how the pro bowl alternate works.

Well good for him I guess, he now joins the list of other elite pro bowl alt QBs, like Kerry Collins, Trubinsky, Winston, Cordell Stewart, and the GOAT Tim Tebow.

What great company

Come on now, Kordell Stewart was a fantastic player.

In college for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Let's face it. If Lance put up similar numbers in his rookie year, this forum would crown him as the next steve young. But since this forum doesn't like Mac Jones, his accolades get diminished.

Yah Trey throwing 3 passes would not get him crowned the next Steve Young.

Pretty sure making the playoffs and pro bowl in year one busts the ceiling that about 90% of this board had on him.

Why? Andy Dalton did the same as a rook

Kerry Collins and Derek Anderson too

Dalton did but not the other two. Dalton is a 3x pro bowler. Nothing special but a solid starter on his prime. Lance probably won't make 1

Won't make 1...the fu**??

Wager?

I'll go take 5k out of my bank right now and wager that w you straight up that Lance makes a pro bowl.

If we had Trey rarely throwing the ball down the field and constantly throwing 5-10 yard passes and rarely ever leaving the pocket we would be asking why we traded multiple 1st RD picks for a cheaper version of Jimmy?

It doesn't matter where the production comes from as long as you are sustaining drives and winning games. Plus, and this is the big thing, we wouldn't be out multiple 1st rounders or had to hold on to Jimmy this past year. The roster would've been stronger and we would've already had a better qb. One that's won a natty title and already made a pro bowl

😂
SMDH. I wonder how much longer this is going on for.

He's a pretty good player.
Man Mac really lives rent free in our heads huh? He had a good rookie year, which didn't surprise me. He has good weapons and the greatest coach of all time. He is already pretty polished. The problem is that how much better can he get? His arm strength really isn't impressive and he struggled in the colder months. I think if he really takes care of his body he will have a successful career as longas the Patriots stay competent after Bill leaves.

literally what i've been saying. he needs the running game and defense to be elite at all times. especially in bad weather games. he will be a kirk cousings/matt ryan type of pro.

If the Patriots draft good YAC receivers, essentially some homerun hitters, this can work. Jones will hit them in stride. So with the right offense and a great defense, I think the Patriots will be in the mix.

Which I can agree with. I truly believe Kirk is his floor.

Cousins is his ceiling, his floor is Andy Dalton.

I think this is more accurate.

I thought this. McDaniels seemingly was the heir apparent. One year of Jones and suddenly he is out?

I'd be stoked if Trey put up Garoppolo/Jones like numbers in his first year under our offense.

I'm curious what fan expectations will be on his season stats.
Stafford pocket passer (43 yards) vs. Burrow pocket passer (118 yards) with youth mobility in the Superbowl.

Who's gonna win?

Looks like the mobile QB's didn't get it done again.
