Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

LOL. Boy the definition of mobile sure gets skewed in here. Two QB's with less than 175 yards rushing for the year are now in the athletic/mobile QB bucket. Good Lord.

Jimmy has 51 yards rushing. I guess he's mobile too now.

So now the amount of rushing yards you gained in a year is equal to an inherent ability you have?

Someone make it stop.

Mac Jones had the 7th (i believe it was 7th most) most rushing yards out of all QBs in the playoffs. That however got pushed to the side.

Exactly my point.

These guys can't even define it or bucket it accurately.

LOL. Goff IS Stafford. Stafford IS Goff.

His overall point is correct though.

Stafford clearly is beat up and going a little past his prime,...but still a better QB than Goff ever was or will be.
Goff took them to a Superbowl...I don't see that happening with Stafford.

Wish I could say the same.

Lol but but just a few weeks ago you had Burrow in the mobile category,...in MULTIPLE posts.

ol' pocket passers still hanging in there. Burrow, Mahomes, Allen look nice too.

Bye Mac, Dak, Carr, Hurts.

Lol how did this narrative shift so fast? Simply because he's in the Super Bowl, right?

You're contradicting your own words, my man. It's not even really about what's going on on the field at this point, is it?

Scouting Report on Stafford coming into the draft...

So yes,...coming out of college, both Super Bowl starting QBs were certainly above average when it comes to mobility. But don't feel threatened,...lol.

Man, reading through this thread really shows just how little a lot of these guys know. And the. To see them double down on their takes while he's throwing Tds in the pro bowl year 1 is hilarious.

Wonder if Mac Jones has anything to do with Josh McDaniels finally leaving the Patriots
This could be bad for Mac. He could do worse with a different OC.

No doubt. McDaniels is one of the best play callers in the league, top 5 for sure. And he could barely get anything out of Mac besides in the short to intermediate passing game at times.

He's gonna force BB to retire early as we lol.

It's kinda strange the guy that everyone has said has been waiting to take the keys of the franchise since he got s**t canned in Denver. All of a sudden takes a job in Las Vegas once he works with the QB of the future for 1 season.

I guess our McDaniels was disgusted at the thought of having Lance as his starter.

Glad he's with NE and not here. Obviously a solid QB,....wish him the best up there.

Yep,...went ahead and made a lateral career move to get away from him. It all adds up.

Who's gonna win?

Looks like the mobile QB's didn't get it done again.

lol always thought pocket passing referred to where you throw the ball from (outside vs. inside),....but this week it's how many yards you rush for and is completely unrelated to passing, I guess.

Next week it'll again be redefined.

LOL "pro bowl" Tomlinson & Mack made it to the "pro bowl" let's stop acting like being an alternate pro-bowler after "several other AFC quarterbacks opted not to go" as some amazing thing.

Saying that out and tossing out some condescending remark about posters showing just how little they know, is a bit hypocritical. BUT yeah keep on fighting the good fight for McCorkle in a 49ers fan forum.

He doesn't care, I already posted a bunch of s**tty QBs who made the alt pro bowl. Either trolling or just doesn't understand how the pro bowl works, even though he always tells us how much football he knows.

You clearly have a MUCH different definition of "mobile QB" It has nothing to do with just rushing yards and everything with being able to extend and make plays.

This is being mobile

This is being mobile

It's not JUST about being able to run for a bunch of yards, it's being athletic enough to escape pressure and have the ability to throw on the move. Even Stafford moves around to extend plays, he has elite arm strength to throw off platform and we've seen that s**t for a decade.

Our QB was awful recognizing pressure and moving around behind the LOS. He simply didn't have the arm talent to make those off platform throws. Jones has a better feel in the pocket, but overall his lack of arm talent tossed in with avg athletic abilities leads to limitations. They're both game managers and will need to be put in the right situations to have consistent success.

Andy Dalton is a 3x pro-bowler lol....Just a bunch of condescending BS. Once the running game and D didn't do their part in NE, we saw what McCorkle brought to the table. It's in the same mold as Jimmy. Jones/Jimmy can be a great game manager, Neither will ever be the "dude" who's gonna make a play when everything else around him is failing a part. We saw Burrow do that vs KC. We've seen Mahomes/Allen and a handful of top end guys do that.

Is what it is. SF wanted the potential to have MORE, I don't give a s**t how great your scheme is...s**t breaks down, wrong plays are called and you need the QB to makeup for that. We will see what Lance has and the only way to judge that is after a couple seasons. I have a feeling our bama guy will be going off at every step of the way when Lance isn't 100% crushing it. Kinda sad and annoying.
