All it took was for several AFC QBs to opt out lol. BUT you know this....my Dalton projection is playing out perfectly. McCorkle just needs to get to two more pro-bowls lol
mitch trubisky Made the pro-bowl a couple yrs ago haha.

this. Jones had 3800 yards and 22 TDs in 17 games. Jimmy G had 3800 and 20 in 15 games for comparison. Jones will be a solid QB, but no way he should have been in the pro-bowl. But that is a big reason the pro-bowl is silly.

I mean, you're in the Mac Jones player thread. If he's posting this stuff in Niners Talk then it's an issue but the way you avoid comments where people are praising Mac Jones is---avoiding the Mac Jones thread.

Andy Dalton is a 3x pro-bowler lol....Just a bunch of condescending BS. Once the running game and D didn't do their part in NE, we saw what McCorkle brought to the table. It's in the same mold as Jimmy. Jones/Jimmy can be a great game manager, Neither will ever be the "dude" who's gonna make a play when everything else around him is failing a part. We saw Burrow do that vs KC. We've seen Mahomes/Allen and a handful of top end guys do that.

Is what it is. SF wanted the potential to have MORE, I don't give a s**t how great your scheme is...s**t breaks down, wrong plays are called and you need the QB to makeup for that. We will see what Lance has and the only way to judge that is after a couple seasons. I have a feeling our bama guy will be going off at every step of the way when Lance isn't 100% crushing it. Kinda sad and annoying.

Won't just be Bama. The usual suspects from the Jimmy thread will bash Trey for every mistake as if he should have the same expectation level as an 8 year vet QB.

Understood. People can repost the same things repeatedly if on topic for a thread.

Within reason.

This is being mobile

This is being mobile

It's not JUST about being able to run for a bunch of yards, it's being athletic enough to escape pressure and have the ability to throw on the move. Even Stafford moves around to extend plays, he has elite arm strength to throw off platform and we've seen that s**t for a decade.

Our QB was awful recognizing pressure and moving around behind the LOS. He simply didn't have the arm talent to make those off platform throws. Jones has a better feel in the pocket, but overall his lack of arm talent tossed in with avg athletic abilities leads to limitations. They're both game managers and will need to be put in the right situations to have consistent success.

So then Mac Jones is mobile?

...and the last time Tom Brady played in the Pro Bowl was in 2008, IIRC. So there is that...
Vanilla Vick with tha griddy. Dude got more swag than Lance could dream of.

See the Jimmy Garoppolo thread for further confirmation.

And he absolutely shouldnt be.

There are a plethora of QBs who had better statistics than Mac Jones but are deemed trash or replaceable QBs (in other threads).
