Teams that are clearly better: bills, Bengals, colts, ravens, chiefs, chargers, broncos

Teams probably better: dolphins, titans, raiders

Toss up: Steelers

That's on paper of course. NFL is a strange league so you never know but just as the pats benefitted from historical ineptitude within the AFCE for nearly 2 decades, they're now entering an absolutely stacked AFC.

Browns on the whole are more talented too.

I just can't see success with a combo of Patricia/Judge calling plays. The fact that the Pats were the worst team in the NFL in continuing drives when a negative play happened is also concerning with a weakened O line.

Mac looks has a 7 yard scramble throws a PERFECT deep ball into a tight window and he was horrible.

Never have told a fan, other than Bama, to give root for another team…..but…

You ain't f**king me and you ain't feeding me....so....

Lol guess I touched a nerve
Didn't the Pats just lose their OC?

Which was complete opposite from his INT from the playoff game. Where he pumped the safety to the throw.

looked pathetic today and he is supposed to be better given that he is in his 2nd years...most completions were just WR screens since he couldn't complete anything else.

also remember this is the Cheatriots that have a history of easily winning their division and winning super bowls, anything less than a SB victory will be a failure for McCorkle this year as expectations for the fanbase are high. No excuses since 2nd year QB Burrow led his team the SB with a much worse supporting cast that a historically trash football team (Bengals). This isn't the Browns/Lions that throw parades when the team makes it the playoffs.

Pressure is Fat Mac to win every game make no mistake...not to mention Belicheat is 70 and obese and could die from a heart attack at any moment

Shocked if Pats make the playoffs.. really??

I mean they have a guy who's on the Mt Rushmore of coaching to start. Good o-line. Very good RBs, and TEs, which is always their thing, addition of a #1 type WR Parker, 2nd year QB instead of rookie, Belichick D, this team is missing the playoffs.. don't think so.. you really gonna bet against Bill B to simply make the playoffs?

Yes McD.. however Bill Belichick is HC and he added a couple former HCs..

Media right now - omg let's panic the Pats don't have a OC.. Patricia is a clown the team will bomb..

Reality - Is Belichick is the HC.. yes. Does Belichick know what he is doing... yes. Did Belichick pick these guys.. yes.

From a pure talent standpoint they are probably the 10th best team in the AFC. Can Bill make up for that? perhaps.

Judge and Patricia are pretty awful though. I can't see the offense being all that great. Defense will have to be elite for them to compete.

Pretty awful at what.. HC? Sure, perhaps. Bill B is no fool and he brought them back for a reason as assistants.

A great o-line, and RBs and TEs.. and a solid rook QB now in year 2.. that's 90% of the battle on offense imo. Add in Parker as your 1 who has a big frame.. that casts Meyers correct as a possession #2.. Agholor makes a lot more sense as a slot 3.. and you have a rookie burner WR. It is an underrated WR group.

10th best team? I don't see it.. I mean they were a playoff team last year with rook Mac.. I see them improved.

When has a defensive and special teams guy ever combined to become a top offensive coordinator? It's all the makings of a tremendous failure.

They traded Mason and are looking to unload Wynn. I don't see great. There rookie burner broke is clavicle.

Bills, Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Bengals, Ravens, Browns, Titans are all more talented IMO. Steelers and Dolphins are right there too but the QB questions loom large.

The OC thing is a technicality to screw the Lions

Patricia is still being paid by Detroit....if he is the OC the patriots offset some of his salary

Exactly. Which makes the hubbub about it overblown nonsense imo. Bill knows what he is doing in terms of putting together a staff. I have no questions of his ability there.

They lack the top end talent that the majority of the other teams in the AFC have. Their #1 WR is a guy that their division rival pretty much handed them for free. Dolphins obviously aren't worried about Parker. And you say the Pats are improved? They lost their #1 corner. I think they lost guys on that Oline also.

Titans are a joke. Tannehill melted down in the playoffs and they drafted his replacement, who we may see sooner rather than later. The entire O is hand it to Henry. They have Woods who is far from 100%. They will probably start two rook receivers along with Westbrook-Ikhine.. which scares no one.. outside of their own fanbase. I mean this team struggled at times to throw with AJ Brown and Julio Jones.
