100% would have been a draft bust in San Francisco. At least Jimmy would only complain to Kyle quietly about running a run first offense

WR is definitely a blind spot for BB in talent evaluation.

really though. The same ones that gives JG's weapons all of the credit are in here failing to mention Mac's lack thereof! They had to put a DB in on offense for an explosive play. Think about that for a minute. And on that explosive play it was a run play that Mac noticed the offensive advantage. In which he took advantage of.

Mac can be serviceable for sure. He would be lucky if he ever got to jimmy G's level. Jimmy is a better QB is just about every category I can think of.
It is unfortunate for Mac that he got Alex smith'd with coordinator but the most baffling thing to me is how bad he looks in the pocket, how bad his situational awareness is and how bad he looks after his first read is taken away. He was supposed to be the "cerebral" QB of the draft with the best pocket skills and elite at reading defenses... He's been none of those things this year. We've all seen sophomore slumps/defenses getting enough film on a QB and that seems to be Mac.

They also have a Defensive Coordinator who's never called Offense running the show.
