Its always tough to say with that because how would a player react/perform with different coaching/players? We can never know. However it turns out I'd always roll the dice on the better physical abilities. If lance turns out to be junk well.... It happens!

I think Mac would have done well here with all our weapons. Doesn't mean I wish we drafted him, but I mean he might have been a better return on investment than Lance who is constantly injured. Hopefully it's not the same old story with him next year. We really need to see whether or not he will be the Guy

Feels like the 2021 QB draft class was completely overhyped by the media

Lawrence has been very good this year on a crappy team. Fields is the second best of the bunch on a s**t offense. Wilson looks like a bust. He doesn't have the excuse of being on a bad team though.
Mac is ok just average. He probably would be better with more weapons like when he was with Alabama.
Trey is unknown but to me I don't think he will be good. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Just going out on a limb and saying that I don't think any of these QBs are winning a Superbowl anytime soon.

Lance, maybe. I'm hopeful, but his career is already derailing because of injury.

So funny in hindsight when looking back at 2017. I was a big pro Deshaun Watson guy (pre allegations). Everyone was saying that the 2017 QB class was trash. And we should trade down from the #2 pick because there was no one good and we didn't get Myles Garrett. God, what a s**t show.

This! Leading up to the draft his knock was..... if Trey/Justin/Zach played at Alabama.

Let's flip that to what if Mac played for SF.
Mac may not have alot of weapons but he does play for a HOF coach and has an elite defense that has won him alot of games that he didn't deserve to win based on his play. He also has a good running game to work with. It's not like he is playing for the Texans. Mac is a big reason the Pats have struggled offensively. And his arm is terrible, He puts maximum effort into every throw, Even the 10-15 yard throws. I think Jimmy has a stronger arm.

Yeah he is playing like garbage on a good team, he will be above average at the very best. So glad we didn't pick him and it's hilarious watching these people try to stick up for him. Bad throws, bad accuracy and bad pocket awareness. No excuses
I worry about QBs that are surrounded by multiple first round offense picks in college, because they often turn out to be passengers rather than drivers. Mac may have been a passenger at Alabama.

I may have to revisit the Zach Wilson thread for some laughs/smh. I remember one person saying something like "if he was throwing those passes against junior high kids he would be an elite pro prospect". I thought he would be good, but not close to a super star. Some people on here said he was off the charts good.

a lot of frustrating Pats fan were booing him it got ugly out there Mac Jones looked like a R Wilson looked lost n confused 👀 I think BB should pull the trigger like Robert Saleh and let the back up QB from the Pats play more at least they looked better offensively with him then Mac Jones
BB already tried that

what's cute is, all of those hits and ugly faces, the cookie eating beer belly Dad bod has started 26 games. Been hit/sacked 110 times. 2 injuries. with 2 games missed due to injury. The guy we selected 4 games started been hit/sacked 15 times. 2 injuries and will have AT LEAST 15 games missed due to injury.

Before someone brings up rushing attempts, Mac Jones 74 rushes. Trey Lance 54 rushes. To be fair, some of Mac's rushes are victory formation rushes.
irrelevant on why jones screams like a B

100% would have been a draft bust in San Francisco. At least Jimmy would only complain to Kyle quietly about running a run first offense

Haha. In actuality tho he didn't complain about the run game, but about the short passes.

Great but what is your point in all of this?
