Remind me, who complained that bad coaching was setting a certain QB back?

What's clear is that Matt Nagy is an absolute moron who sets his quarterbacks up to fail. Fields doesn't trust his offensive line, which is why you see the inconsistency in the pocket. On one play he will sit there, go through his reads and deliver an absolute dime. The next play, his offensive line will he pushed into his face immediately and he will get sacked. There's just no consistency or identity to be able to accurately determine his play.

But now it can't possibly be an issue right?

It sure can, I just find it hilarious. More often than not the same.people who give Macscuses pile on Fields when he struggles. But Mac'a journey has been MUCH easier than Fields. Macorkle wouldn't survive a game in Chicago.

And Mac has had consistency and identity in his staff and roster. The dude just kinda sucked and was damn near replaced by Bailey Zappe.. and still might.

He was regressing at the end of last year with Daniels still there .

An entire offense doesn't just magically regress the way they have, everything about them has the hallmark of poor coaching.

I don't have to look any further than see what Lions looked like with Patricia and what they look like with Campbell to know that he's a s**t coach.

Meh , just regression continuing from last year .

not surprised at all .

Comes with bad coaching. Just like Lawrence and Fields looked like massive busts and suddenly with new coaching staffs they are both performing well.

Except I called out Fields as being let down by his coaching staff where you passively aggressively attack every other QB that was drafted in the same class for some reason.

Don't see that happening with Mac Jones .

he has looked bad with last year and this years staff.

Zappe doesn't make this coaching staff look as bad as Mac does

The playoffs were on national TV.
I've never had a dog in the Mac Jones discussion one way or the other but having just watched that game yesterday I have to say Jones has reason to be upset with what is going on there. A good high school coach could put together a better game plan/scheme than what I saw yesterday. It's hard to play when you know your OC is not competent to be calling the offense.

Matt Patricia as OC is one of the worst decisions Bill Belichick has every made.

Cool, he had a really good rookie season overall. Now that entire offense, not just Jones, has taken a big step back and you have several players complaining about scheme. To argue that bad coaching/playcalling plays no role in his struggles is nonsense.

Not really.. I like Lawrence a lot.. absolutely hated Mac and Lance as prospects, but that wasn't so passive. Wasn't crazy about Wilson, just didn't understand what he did so well that made him the 2nd best quarterback in that draft.

Sounds like you are in denial that his 2nd half of the season last year saw regression .

PFF disagrees with you .
Dumbest play in NFL history.

Kids photogenic and ain't no one that can take it away from him.

Just want to state for the record, that was his WR1 that made that play. That's the guy he has to rely on.

Well his WR2 says that the Patriots practice way harder than the 49ers
