Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

Mac Jones looks really good in this offense despite really having no weapons. The decisions were questionable AF though to not kick an FG they could've easily won this game.
Good ole Mac&Cheese.

Where's all the excitement for him gone?

He is not as bad as I thought, but still isn't much more than Jimmy.

There isn't even excitement from his own coaches. Gonna set a new record for screens called at this rate.

Mac is average, Lawrence is a franchise QB and the rest are dismal busts. Wilson is atrocious and will be a career backup or playing in Canada in a few years, Lance is holding the clipboard for the guy holding the clipboard and Fields needs the aid of a seeing eye dog to tell him where to throw the football.

Eitherway the 49ers ultimately wound up with the Mac-like QB in Brock Purdy, a guy that can run the offense efficiently and consistently get the ball where it needs to go but also a guy that is a lot more easy going and less rage prone so I'm good.

QB class from hell? And we paid a kings ransom, for QB3 of that class
is what it is, I guess

Not really Mac like. Better arm, better vision, more eacapability.

Mac is Jimmy with a weaker arm and less mistakes.

And I would still say situations matter. Lance was always raw and kind of a head scratcher for us to pick and with the injuries he just never developed here .

I know it's still the Ohio State fan in me but Fields has maybe just been beat to death. Bad team, bad coaching, mediocre receivers (at least last year) and an offensive line that may as well stand behind him to catch him and soften his fall when he's sacked.

Oh well. Maybe Stroud pans out for Demeco in Houston.

I would tend to think the loss of Urban Meyer and the gain of Doug Pederson helped Lawrence greatly but he likely improved some on his own as well.

Wilson just seems like an airhead.

The slay breakup miss is the biggest problem. That's wide open in the NFL. Ball hangs up too much.

Yeah, Purdy is far better than Mac and brings some things to the table that Mac does not. Bad swing and a miss, but I get the logic and I don't see why anyone can't. Jimmy got hurt, a lot. To the point that his injuries led to two high draft picks out of 3 seasons. Plus we saw he could only take the offense so far. Kyle saw Josh Allen that year (2020) and wanted more from the offense. It wasn't likely they'd draft that high again, so they moved up. Thought it was for Fields but it's becoming evident he was never in the running. I don't think Trey is as bad as Fields is with where to go with the ball, but he needed time nonetheless. I think if he were here, we'd be okay- a 9 or 10 win team that may win a playoff game, but not a Super Bowl contender. And then came Purdy. What's done is done. We can put it to bed that this regime won't make aggressive trades. I think it was born out of the Khalil Mack thing in 2017 and then it comes out that we did have the better off. And then there's the Trey trade. There's a lot that people believed about this FO that has proven to be false.
I'm hoping Mac takes it to the Cowgirls in week 5.
