True. I agree with you. But those same scouting reports said the same thing about Brock Purdy. So, that's something that has to be taken into consideration.

Having said that..... l love the Brock vs Mac debate since it encapsulates two opposing draft strategies.
A. Do you take the guy that has proven he can use elite talent around him and run a top tier offense?
or
B. Do you take the guy that had nothing, no protection and no weapons but was scrappy and tried to win every game he was in?
I think either is viable, but if you draft A. You better be dropping him into a roster with talent. If you take a guy and drop him on a team with worse blocking and worse weapons then he had in college ...well....that might not turn out well.
If you draft B. and you give him the best line and the best weapons he has ever had, that might turn out better than you expected.
