Mac Jones's passer rating is 27.8. If he were 0 for 21 with all 21 passes spiked directly into the ground, it would be 39.6 pic.twitter.com/P2EfBEUGr6

Silver lining to drafting Trey is that it prevented us from drafting Mac. He sucks but we would have given him a few years and he's more healthy than Trey, which means we never would have seen Brock

He seems to keep getting worse and worse. It's unbelievable.

How could a guy that was pretty good in college be this bad? I know he had great receivers at Bama and has no receivers and a terrible OC at NE but...... Oh wait. I guess that might be the reason.

Bill O'Brien is a decent OC. Alabama is probably the most talented program of all time. They can make any QB look good and that talent covers up a lot of inefficiencies in QBs. Jones had a lot of average traits but no elite one.

Blessing in disguise, they should've told me this was the plan from the start and thankfully led to Brock Purdy.

Before the Niners drafted Lance a lot of people wanted them to stay at #12 and pick Jones. I saw him as another JG as far as his physical tools went. The mental aspect is never really revealed until these guys get in the NFL and face some adversity.

Are people still saying he would be better than Purdy if he played with the 49ers?

I think the Mac Jones vs. Trey Lance debate is settled. They both suck but Lance is still unproven. Fields is mixed, and Lawerence is a solid starter but not a justified #1 overall pick. That class in general was awful.

Lance is proven trash, that's why KS sleeps well at night, even after trading to a rival. I think the debate is settled, we shouldn't have moved up, which I didn't want to, to begin with
Selling the farm to get QB3 of the draft class was a dumb move, filled with desperation.

You know someone (aka Mike Florio and Chris Simms) will push for the Niners to pick him up so Kyle could fix him. It will never happen, but it's inevitable someone will predict it will.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. He will likely get cut from NE. SD and BA are free agents. Mac will be cheap and Shanny liked him pre-draft. I personally don't want him due to his attitude but given the right situation I could see him here as QB2 or even possibly QB3
