Lance had the same amount of missed deep balls yet his WRs were leaping, reaching and stretching for the majority of his passes.

Not so much today with Jones

b******t I saw dudes reaching for balls all the same. I saw under throws and a couple balls thrown behind....

jones big positive was sniper accuracy and overall it wasn't as great as I was expecting...Velocity was just avg overall as well.

He'a not as accurate as I was expecting and the lack of overall velocity is apparent.

Totally, NY goes out of his way to discredit Mac while pumping up Lance who missed more throws than Mac on his pro day..hahaha. Quit it NY..

I'm pretty sure all the top 5 QBs can run that
Pretty good day for him. Solid 40 and vert #s, not that those really matter for him.
He's extremely accurate. Like someone said earlier, he's missed a few throws, but the vast majority have been directly on target.....in stride.
Mechanics are tight, velocity is about what was expected. Middle of the road. He wasn't going to pop like Stafford or Josh Allen in thiis setting. No one was expecting that.
Pro day is kind of like him... Solid not spectacular. Got no help from the receivers but showed good accuracy despite the circumstances.

The biggest take away is that he showed decent arm strength when he keeps his platform level. On film he dips his shoulder when he winds up a big throw and it takes away allot of power. Just sucks cause he got shafted not throwing to his receivers and then the ones he had got so tired they were only doing half routes... definitely f*cks with the timing of the QB.

that's simply not true. What the f**k to I gain from lying about something on a forum lol?

what you or I say has no baring of anything...I watch the pro day and was expecting perfection because that's all anyone has said about this kid in here. He was not perfect and has his misses all the same.

you can watch Lance throw a ball and Mac throw a ball and see plain as day their arm talent isn't in the same realm.

That's a fair comment. I thought he was more accurate in the short to intermediate routes.

Yeah, pretty much. If he's not a Patrick Mahomes type QB, then you nitpick.
For the 49ers, he's the only qb they would think about taking early, outside of Lawrence of course.
He's the only one remotely ready to play for a competitive team between him, Fields, Wilson, and Lance. And that's what we are now, no time to develop.
At 12, youu either draft someone at a position ready to contribute now or go Mac, get rid of Jimmy and use that money to fill holes.

Gross

yeah, you stay put for Jones, you move up for Wilson or Fields. (imo)

Stuff like this scares me

https://broncoswire.usatoday.com/2021/03/18/denver-broncos-will-draft-a-quarterback-if-the-right-one-falls-to-them/

The Denver Broncos are considering drafting a quarterback with the ninth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Either that or the Broncos want other teams to believe they're considering drafting a QB at No. 9.

Broncos general manager George Paton attended Trey Lance's pro day and he will attend more quarterback pro days, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. Paton will go to "all of" the pro days, according to Palmer, including Alabama's, where Mac Jones will look to improve his draft stock.

"He told me, if the right quarterback falls to them at nine, and that's who they like, they're picking a quarterback," Palmer said.

That would be 5 teams picking before us that want a QB. Jags, Jets, Falcons, Panthers, and now Broncos. And don't sleep on the Giants either. If for some reason Fields falls to 11, they would have to strongly consider taking him at least.

This is why I've thought for awhile now that we are getting Mac, or we will have no choice but to move up if we want Fields or Lance. It's gonna be really hard seeing any of those two falling to 12.

This is true too, instead of his 3 first rounders running routes, he had a converted lb to fullback running along with some other bench and old tight ends and Slade Bolden.

No doubt Lance has better arm talent everyone knows that, but it is not the only trait to judge and discredit a prospect over it. Lance has a better chance of being a bust than Mac does, imo. I'll take competition level over arm talent any day, anyone with arm talent can dominate against future insurance salesmen.

I agree here. Also, Lance was absolutely praised for his pro day despite missing EIGHT passes with a few of them being inaccurate passes in the redzone. All of a sudden, Mac is late on a few throws but some folks eat him alive. Smh

Are you watching it? Nothing about it was amazing. I can be objective about a player regardless if I like him or not.

Everyone picking on NY cause he ain't fapping over McCorkle? Lol, no worries bro I'm with you. Nothing pops for me either, he's just meh to me too. Yeah footwork is clean and he didn't look bad at all, but I want more than that.
