I'm one of the biggest Mac Jones supporters and this deal wasn't for Jones. We just saw Miami give up less to get back to #6, and if we wanted Jones, that's the deal we would've done to secure him. This deal we made was a homerun swing and we're targeting Wilson and have a deal with the Jets already worked out if we promised them we could move up from #12.

Or Fields. Those were the guys I was okay trading up for. Steep price. But it's potentially a QB for the next twelve years.

Chris Simms didn´t say the niners wanted Ayiuk last year. I don´t see him telling who Kyle wants. I think it´s his guess based on his evaluation or a big smokescreen if he really knows who Kyle loves.
