Why?

That is what ESPN tells him.

No, it's called actually watching every single game since he's been our coach and listening to him talk about what he values in a QB. You have fun thinking you know what is best suited for Kyle's offense though, because clearly you know better than him.

This is how I feel too
My heart wants Wilson.

My preference is Fields after Wilson.

My mind says it's Jones.

I am prepared for any of the QBs being selected and just stoked that we are 100% getting one of the top five QBs in this draft.

Jcool is just good for posting tweets. He has no actual opinion of his own

That is false. He could have had Cousins if he waited.
"How I evaluate everything is always changing," Shanahan said from Arizona via Zoom. "Things change, people change. You start to see you can win football games with any type of quarterback as long as they are good enough and you can be good enough in hundreds of different ways.

"So, I evaluate quarterbacks in terms of trying to find people who can have a chance to be one of those elite-type guys and there's lots of different ways to do it. You can see now there's plenty of different ways, so I don't think that'll ever change. I don't think you have one certain thing you're looking for. You're just trying to find a guy who is better than about 98 percent of the people on this planet or in this country and when you find that, you get him and you adjust to him."

Yes but in today's game it is obvious that you need a quarterback that can takeoff when necessary. Mac Jones doesn't have that capability he's probably slower than Jimmy. Besides Rogers and besides Brady the quarterbacks that excel in today's game can do more than just throw the football

Oh my point was just bc shanny liked statue QBs in the past doesn't mean he still wants that. We've been f**ked by mahomes, Wilson & Kyler. I think it has altered shanny's thoughts and I will pray to the football gods we take fields!

Yup. I think he's watched us struggle to defend running QBs and has said to himself that he'd like to have a go with somebody that has that element to their game.

I know you can say that he passed up drafting Mahomes and Watson...but don't we all think that now he wishes he had drafted them? I mean, outside of Watson asking women to stick their thumbs up his ass.

It's a valid question.

I have not seen Mac take a single snap under center in a game and throw a pass.

That used to be a pre requisite for Kyle, all the other QB options have done this, and done it frequently.

I think Mac has the footwork to make it work, but it's a reason to question his fit.

right... and also lost to Lamar, and Josh Allen running around for multiple first downs when we played them.... I think Shanahan is seeing the lamdscape changing and what a difference a QB like Lance or Fields could make for his offense. If we take Jones it wll be like passing on Watson and Mahomes because we were waiting for Cousins.
