I've been a fan of this team for over 30 yrs they have never done anything like this to get a QB. It's literally one of the biggest picks this franchise has ever made....the fact that f**king McCorkle is even in the conversation is rules for someone getting canned imo.

Why would they trade away 2 firsts to move up to 3 if they still had to scout mac to see if he's their guy? I think they already know who they want, and are scouting mac as a smoke screen.

Because of the bolded. If Shanahan is willing to push all of his chips to the center of the table with Mac Jones, then I'm down.

The 49ers made a huge move to get a QB and I don't think Shanahan gives a crap what fans think or what Mel Kiper thinks, he'll choose the guy that he thinks he can win a SB with and if that is Jones then so be it. If Shanahan does win a SB with Jones then no one will give a crap what it cost to move up for him.

Because they still have nearly a month to make sure that they really do want that guy. People are going to give themselves aneurysms trying to predict who the 49ers will be picking. It'll all take care of itself on draft day.

It really can't be Jones, right? I'd rather they take Pitts. We'll not really...ok maybe. Like I said earlier if they pick 'Mutherf**kin' Jones, for as much as they gave up, he better be Peyton Manning.

However. It'll be Bosa-esque exuberance if it's Wilson.

C'mon. Mac had one of them best statistical seasons in college football history. He has the best footwork and pocket awareness out of anyone in the draft. Throws a great deepball. Reads the defense incredibaly well. I don't get how that is one of them worst reaches. Lance now that is a reach. I feel like if peyton manning was in this draft you would hate the pick because he wasn't a running QB.

I'm more stunned Kyle is finally attending a pro day.

Hard not to have great statistical season when your entire skill position group is going in the 1st round of the NFL draft. Not his fault he had this roster, but put him on Notre Dame and what is his season like? He's in the Mond/ Davis discussion IMO.

To people panicking, just cause they're going to his pro day doesn't mean he's the favorite. Could be they already know what Fields can do and favor him, but they are looking to get a closer look at Mac as they may have some questions still to be answered on him.

It's somewhat telling this year over others though as there was no combine so the personal interviews are coming via pro days.

They also have no real reason to try to smoke screen things. The first two picks are already basically locked in.
