I saw that too and looked into it. I believe it's false. I think Wikipedia even has his 40 time around that 4.6 range. I thought the time was surprising. At his pro day, he was timing in the 4.8 range.

4.69 is a 4.8 at the combine....that's mahomes speed.

What about the hand times that had him at 4.9 that means combine he's 5.0+? Game film he doesn't look as fast as Mahomes

Look, I'd prefer Zach Wilson or Justin Fields. But one thing I've learned about Shanny is that, when it comes to player personnel, he's stubbornly scheme specific, sometimes much to my chagrin. But in Shanny I trust. Of all the QB's we think will be available to us at pick 3 Mac Jones is the most scheme fit, and arguably the most NFL ready.

If Shanny feels that Mac Jones is the guy, if he's the one we've mortgaged multiple future top picks for, imma trust that he's our best pick. To date Shanny & Lynch have been extremely good at drafting, which tells me that they're tops at evaluating talent. I've seen nothing that would make me think that they didn't know what the fukk they were doing.

So while I'd rather have Justin Fields or Zach Wilson (who'll likely go to the Jets at 2) I'm mocking Mac Jones at 3. And you know what, imma be excited if it is Mac Jones. And so should you.
