If anything late 1st round, he is looking better than last year when he played here and there. But then again he must be getting all the first team reps now.
I can see Lynch taking a dlineman, cb/s then trading up back in the first for Jones so they can have the 5th year option. Jones is definitely Kyles type qb and trading up for the top qbs will be too rich for them

If that Dline isn't an edge rusher I will lose it.

I was thinking this, as well. Who knows how everything shakes up in the draft since it's been a strange year, but with the rush on QBs and possibly o-linemen, it could push someone like Micah Parsons or Greg Rousseau to us. I'm wondering if we select a freak like Rousseau who absolutely flashed last season but is so raw. Trading back up in the 1st for Mac would be the best option.

#14: Rousseau, Parsons, or Jaycee Horn
Trade up to #20 or #22: Mac Jones

I would not be surprise if we go with Rousseau as an insurance to FORD once for all.. and also because Kyle seem to draft and build his D from the inside going out... I see him signing veteran DBs because that would be safer for the team than having rookies in the secondary..

One if not the smartest non ridiculous posts you posted moon lol. I definitely can see this scenario too. This year has shown its not like Lynch and Kyle didn't know already how important the pass rush is. I can see them taking Rousseau pairing him with Bosa, finally putting AA back inside with Kinlaw and get back to our strength. Secondary they'll go cheaper route realizing that constant pressure will make things easier. Just no way in hell they depend on Ford or let alone he comes back

Warner, Parsons and Greenlaw would be ridiculous

i doubt Parsons falls out of the top 10, but yeah, if he's available when we pick, it'd be difficult to go elsewhere if all the top 4 QBs are gone
u guys don't think he'll be a top 10 draft pick?

No way. Mac Jones is a damn good QB, but his traits are mid-day-two at best. His intangibles, production and level of competition will get him drafted significantly higher, tho. But definitely not top 10.

Hell no and I'm out here at the front of the Mac Jones bandwagon, waving the pom poms, wearing a sparkly leotard and tap dancing shoes.

If that's the case then looks like he can easily be the pick while rolling with Jimmy for another year...I just don't see how Shanny goes out w/ a rookie starting QB in 2021...

Looking forward to more breakdown/analysis on this thread

All said and done I won't be shocked if he's a top 15 pick.

QBs get pushed up regardless. Look at Daniel Jones. If SF wants him it's gonna be their first rd pick. You can't wait on a QB you're planning on being the FQB

Right now I'm more of in the draft to get more o-line/corner help in round 1, but if Mac can be had without trading up I'd consider that a win
