Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

Not even close...Jimmy can make throws from all different platforms as well. Jones is not even that talented as a thrower.

If you just watch Jones' pro day then watch Lance's right after, it's night in day in regards to arm talent. Mac Jones looks like my old HC buddy that played QB lol. Nothing special at all.
After that presser yesterday I'm not sure how anyone can come away with the idea that they're drafting Jones.

Agreed. The one consistent with the Niners under Shanahan and Lynch is they leak nothing about their plans.
There is way too much noise around Mac right now which screams smokescreen. I don't buy it at all.

Shanahan already said he doesn't tell Simms anything. I just mean he isn't that good at his job.
I'm not buying this "we have a month to make our minds about which QB we want" bs from Kyle. You mortgaged the farm. No way you didn't already know who you will take.

Ultimate QB dilemma. Does a QB scramble and become mobile because he didn't diagnose the play properly or does a QB rarely need to scramble because there is always a throw to make?

we know what Kyle thinks but why do QBs like Brady or Manning magically make an offensive line look great?

Because they're two of the top 5 QBs of all time and even Peyton only had one title in his prime, needed his D to carry him to his last one.

I disagree. They're still going to watch Fields at his 2nd pro day. I can see them still trying to decide between Fields and Lance depending on one of them being there at #3. That's not a guarantee. Maybe they really want Jones but I can't see them giving up that much for a guy that might have been there at #12. They could trade back and still get him between 8-10 for sure. The Jets might surprise everyone and take one of them over Wilson. Not likely but it is possible.

bit weird to criticize a qb for taking advantage of using his weapons

Not at all. When you clearly have the best weapons/players in college football around you and are throwing to receivers that have 5+ yards separation it's completely fair to ask if he could make those same plays in the NFL where that kind of separation happens very rarely.

Then one would then watch the film.

This pass, which is now my default gif when people say he can't make highly difficult throws, shows that he can fit the ball into extremely tight windows.

In what world is that pass not going to be catchable regardless of how close the DB is covering him? There are two players there in that zone. The pass wouldn't have been more accurate if he ran over there and handed it to him.

Just because he didn't have to do it as much doesn't mean he can't.

Moreover, sometimes QBs miss tight window throws because they should have thrown it elsewhere. For example:

This pass should have gone to the guy running the drag. That guy would still be running.

The point is not to slam Lance here. The point is that sometimes a pass is into a tight window because the QB errs.

I think they had a preference, but because of what they gave up, they are going to spend the next month continuing to study these guys. Prior to this trade, they also had to worry about the trade, signing guys, and so on. Now they have an entire month of doing nothing but evaluating three guys.
^^Well, not just three guys, as they have other guys to look at for later in the draft, but you get my point.

Your going to be REALLY REALLLLLLLLLYYYYYY hard pressed to find any Multi year Super Bowl winning QB that did not have a very good defense.

They don't need to hide it anymore...ShanaLynch instantly go to Mac Jones' pro day.

then why did they talk to Fields agent about setting up another pro day for Kyle to attend?

Why is SF trying to get Lance to have another pro day to see Lance again?

why has Albright said that in order to draft Lance you're gonna have to move to 3?

Thank You! Reading comprehension is a hell of a drug!! Some people on here should try it.

I think they have a preference, but because of Covid - scouting them from behind the scenes was hard and so they have an idea, but now they can go full blown CSI and find out about these guys and do background check, credit check, security check, discount double check and so on. No more hiding in the bushes and stalking them. It will take more than a month really to figure this out, but they ONLY have one month to do it. It's going to be a very tight schedule.

Hell of a catch #6 Smith. Maybe 20% WRs make that catch twisting their body. As tight as that throw maybe, equal if not better reception. Looks at #6 the whole time.
