It´s like a dream for Florio. After weeks of pushing the narrative Kyle only wants Cousins, now he has Simms telling him it´s a done deal for Mac.

I still think Chris Jones was the MVP. You'll never hear me say Mahomes was the MVP.

If Jones doesn't keep wrecking the pocket in the 4th quarter, I think the 49ers win that game going away.

No doubt about that in my mind.

WILSON - FIELDS - LANCE - JONES... I think it would have been better had we offer all those 1st rounders to Green Bay for Rogers..

Rodgers is going to be sitting on his deck in Malibu, with his bare feet up, drinking a beer, with his new actress wife by his side, looking at the blue ocean.

He 'ain't going to do the Niners any good at all.

Doesn't need to be. I don't want any QB constantly running if you're going to invest this much into them and then later give them a massive contract.

If its Fields, I want him doing the vast majority of his damage with his arm while still offering the threat to take off and run when the defense gets caught napping but I don't want him carrying it 100+ times a season like Lamar or Murray.
If we go with Fields, I think he gets around 500 yards on average rushing. I don't want him pushing towards the 1,000 yard mark. If he did that would open him up to a lot of unnecessary hits from opposing defenses.

Translation: "Mike Florio and Chris Simms believe the 49ers will draft Mac Jones and look to trade Jimmy Garoppolo."

Chris Simms had Burrows number one last year not Herbert.
But he was really impressed by Herbert at a time when almost everyone saw him as a future bust.
That being said it´s true that his love for Mac Jones and his reserves toward Field and Lance knowing his MO are a little bit surprising.
At least Trey Lance there´s the fact that he didn´t play this season if not for one game but Justin Fields? It´s really weird isn´t it?

This. Mahommes was terrible until the middle of the 4th. That's like a player being crowned MVP of the league for the final 2 games of the season. Typical quarterback bias.
Kyle all of a sudden has the weirdest boner.

Mac Jones says he's good at following directions. No, scratch that. He says it's what distinguishes him from the other quarterbacks in the draft.

"What separates me is my preparation and my ability to take what I learn from the coaches' meetings and my meetings and then apply it to the field," the Alabama quarterback said during a Monday video news conference. "I'm going to do exactly what the coach tells me to do. I'm going to play within the framework of the offense."

Those phrases — "I'm going to do exactly what the coach tells me to do" and "I'm going to play within the framework of the offense" — don't exactly grab headlines. They're boring sentences. But they also might be music to the ears of someone like Kyle Shanahan, whom many see as the true star of the 49ers offense (and who probably wouldn't disagree with that assessment) and who is seeking someone who can operate his system to its full extent.

Mac f**king knows that's music to Kyle's ears, it's why he said that lmao.

He's already been in contact with them a couple of times. I'd be shocked if the same wasn't true for Fields and Lance.

He seemed quite familiar with what the 49ers run and said he's met with them at the Senior Bowl and over Zoom.

Until the draft day comes and Kyle Shanahan selects someone else, I fully expect him to draft Mac Jones.

Not what I want OR that I hate it. But that's just what I expect.

I hope they dug into the DUI history. I hate to keep bringing that up but you have to make sure it won't be a potential problem. I dont want the QB version of Aldon.
