The question as posed is meaningless, IMHO.
The worth of a player in a given draft is dependent upon the market that year for the player. That depends on the current state of QB situations in the entire league, and which teams are QB needy and where they are picking.
Moreover, the answer isn't knowable at this stage. No one will know until a few years from now.
If you're asking, in a vacuum, if a guy who isn't an elite athlete is worth that kind of investment, it depends on who. Peyton Manning is worth 10 first round picks. Couldn't run to save his life.
So again, the question isn't HONESTLY answerable in an objective sense.
Nor is it all that relevant, since Shanahan and Lynch are the ones making the call. Is it worth three firsts to
them.
