I read it and it has to be one of the worst articles I ´ve ever seen.
You really think Mac Jones is seeing as the choice for the niners by the medias because he is white? Really?

You obviously didnt read it. Hes talking about unconscious racism, not blatant. The idea that a quarterback looks a certain part so you assume certain things.

For example, Fields is better than Jones in literally every category, mentally as well, but Jones looks like a traditional quarterback and you attach certain stigmas with that.

A good example was that if Fields had a DUI and was fat like Jones, you would definitely hear about him being a potential head case and having character issues. You won't hear these things being an issue for Jones.
The medias think Mac Jones is the third pick because it´s Shanahan and he has a type with QBs based on history, that´s it.
Stop seeing racism everywhere.
And by the way most of them are already questioning us for supposedly taking Jones and not Fields or Lance.

You'll be hard press to find a fan that wouldn't love Lawrence/Wilson...No sure what they do within the pocket that fields/Lance don't do?

without question there's a stereotype going on a little.

So you advocate for Lance who had one game last year against central Arkansas where he posted 150 yards passing with a 50% completion percentage. This is who you put your trust in?
People should be trying to promote Mac since there is a real possibility he is our QB we take at 3.

Instead we have people promoting BS theories

Everyone is quick to point out his flaws. Might as well build him up since he's potentially the guy like other qbs.

Well this is the franchise that created the minority sports coaching program. Why on earth would that article be even written?

I think because we are the franchise that is pushing the game forward. We are hiring diverse coaches and getting ownership and management involved in real issues.
Most minorities are very aware of the double standard in society, but the majority does not. The earlier we call it out, the easier it will be when Shanahan doesn't take Mac Jones.

Well, I don't think calling them out is enough. I think you do what Vince Lombardi did and win three straight championships with the minorities you recruited to your team. In other words, action speaks louder than words. That really changed the NFL when I talk to the old guys back then who know about what the NFL was back then.
If he doesn't just have a physique like Brady and can ball like him, then do it. But.....I'm not betting on it

Seeing a clear bias when a nearly impeccable Fields is dragged through the mud for two "bad games" and a false notion that he's dumb is not seeing racism everywhere.

Once again, do you think if Fields was fat and had a DUI it would be an issue? We all know it would dominate the draft talk and he would likely fall to the 2nd round. With Jones, it's not s story... and if the DUI is ever publicized, it will be a story of redemption and how he found God or some b******t.

We both know that.

Eventually there will be a guy that will beat Brady and Rice's records. It may not be in my lifetime, but I hope the #3 pick gives it a good try in doing so!

Can we get his OL, Waddle, Smith, and possibly Harris? I'm in too

That is the point tho. We are Building up Jones with a childrens microscope to justify taking him over Fields or Lance. While we are knocking down Fields with an Electron Microscope to justify taking Jones lol. And then that fails we attest to our faith in Kyle.
He had a much better day vs. Georgia. Some impressive throws unlike the Florida game. However he under throws two bombs and I still don't see that clock/6th sense on when pressure is coming. Maybe it's a good thing and some will say he's standing tall in the pocket. It just seems he has no idea that he's about to get hit a lot of the time. Btw this topic is toxic I just want to say I am not by any means pretending to be a scout. Just watching some plays from a potential qb candidate of my favorite team so don't come after me lol. Just not too impressed with Mac Jones yet. I've only watched a highlight or two of the other guys do not much to compare him to. I started with Mac hoping to fall in love in case he's the guy like so many claim.

I like you. Seems like you do your own homework with no bias. I feel similarly about Jones. He doesn't pop on the tape and I also dont see all these super intangibles everyone else apparently does. He looks like a good starter who had a fantastic year with one of the greatest offenses ever constructed... and that's without having Waddle.

Bamas talent isnt just on another level, so is their coaching and film work. The way they match their guys up and exploit weaknesses is poetry.
