Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

Man, just listened to Eric Davis' pod and I don't think he took one breath the entire time.

Anyway, had some interesting takes. He thought the move up to 3 might be simply to buy them more time for evaluation because they liked the guys but weren't in love with anyone. But he felt Lynch might be playing some 4D chess knowing if they don't fall in love, they'll be in great position to trade out, get a haul and still be higher than 12. Interesting.

He had Mac as his #3 QB. He said playing at Alabama IS playing for an NFL team. "No bad games despite immense NFL environment and expectations."

Finally, as long as Jimmy wins, it doesn't matter if they draft a QB at 3. He saw that with Garcia, we're seeing that with Rodgers/Love, etc.

I don't know how much coke he was on...but, interesting takes.

I can see them trading back too and picking up additional picks. I can see a swap with carolina and getting their 2023 1st round draft choice.

Yea, Alabama is an NFL team, but playing against college teams lol. Hard to look bad. Also, the expectations obviously can't be too high seeing as Jones never found where the weight room was.

And there is no comparison to the Love/Rodgers situation. Not with 3 first round picks being invested.

That doesn't make any sense. If you aren't in love with a player what makes you think another teams is? They traded up to draft someone without a doubt...

A tall Russell Wilson that can see over the o-line? I'll take it.

Exactly. They ain't playing against Alabama defense. Before you say he played against the SEC, like that's a great accomplishment. No SEC team in FBS top 50 against the pass: Yds/gm, yds/att, yds/compl.

The ranking don't matter. Small school teams will have better defensive stats against meaningless small school competition.

What matters is the sec is filled with nfl players, look at the composition of the league... Also all these sec teams had to face Mac. Who put up like 400 yards and 3-5 tds on everybody. So playing Mac messed up the defensive statistical rankings for all SEC teams

Lol, there is a reason for that.
This just seems crazy, incredibly disappointing, and inevitable.

Such a terrible argument. Completely subjective...

And about twice the arm? And a way faster runner?
