RGIII and Kirk Cousins were on his team when he was OC. As OC he wanted to start Cousins over RGIII. Ownership wanted RGII to start

Brian Hoyer and Johnny manziel were on his team when he was OC. as OC, he wanted to keep Hoyer as his QB ownership(or Petitine) wanted to start manziel he abruptly left.

as for Kaepernick no where in my entire post did i say anything about being an athlete. However, your comments on Kepernick is literally making my argument as to what he wants.

As for the 2017 portion of your comment. yea we all already know this. It just further strengthens the point i'm trying to make. He was wanting his type of guy. which looks alot like the rest of what i already laid out.

Yea i was told i was gonna be wrong about a WR @ 13 too.

Not going to debate over this. All i'm saying is I believe the sample size is pretty sizable.

changing what? I'm giving you context.

Dude had no real say in who was the QB in ATL/DC/Houston/Cleveland quit acting like he was the HC or GM lol. He liked Kirk in the 4th rd, you think he was taking him at 2 overall lol? He also had high grades on Wilson/Carr/Jimmy too.

Your 2017 comment is the only actual thing of substance that you and a couple other hold onto...yes in his 1st yr as a HC with 2 months to scout and get a actual team together, he choose going with a FQB that already knew his offense vs taken a chance on a couple spread/air raid offense QBs with massive upside.

What's f**king comical about it now...is the same people b***hing about not getting those guys are b***hing about the idea of drafting two young QBs with massive upside in Wilson/Lance. Saying s**t like they don't fit his offense, can't read a defense, just an athlete with a big arm blah blah blah.

GMs/HCs evaluations change man, they aren't stagnant "this is who I want pro-type for the next 50 yrs". good coaches adapt and I happen to think he's a good HC.

I will also say, I don't think Jones is a bad QB at all...I'm saying to just assume that's who he will like and no one else is being very closeminded IMO.

You are correct for the most part that the OC has no say who their QB is. That doesn't change the fact of who they may want to start from the players they have.

You are changing it from who he preferred to start in his offense to him not being a HC/GM selecting the players.

IMO, I believe it says alot about what type he prefers.

Having said that, you are correct that minds/types can change. His very well could have.. But that wasn't what we were talking about. We were talking sample sizes

I would not be mad in we stand pat and draft Zach Wilson. I think Mac Jones fits better but wouldn't be mad at Wilson.

I think Jones' ball placement/accuracy is better. He also seems to me to be the more cerebral QB.

If you are watching the game tonight and I'm sure you are. Count how many times Wilson does a play action where he is fake on the wrong side of the RB. Essentially faking to air. What does that mean? I have no freaking clue! I just know it leaves me wondering with him. Not saying that is my deal breaker. Just saying whatever it means, it leaves me wondering about him
Stand pat? You must think we are going to be drafting 3rd or 4th.

What i'm saying is I wouldn't trade up for him. I personally like Jones more so I obviously don't think he's that much better than a Mac Jones to trade picks.
this is Shanny's guy. 100% no doubt in my mind.

Yeah I mean we've been saying it all along. I would frankly be just fine with Jones. He is a dang good prospect, just doesn't have the mobility I covet.

Haha. I don't dislike Jones I think he's solid...similar to Kirk.

I want upside and game changers if we're using a top 10 pick on a QB.

I just think it's silly to settle at QB just because you're too scared to give up some draft capital.

It just comes down to how much capital is necessary. I wouldnt agree with giving up a first and second this year and a first and 2nd next year to get Wilson. I dont think its being scared. Its understanding that this team has a lot of holes at OL, ER, CB as well as QB. What do you think a reasonable offer would be?
Wouldn't be upset if we trade back a bit and pick him in the early 20s as this is where I think he's likely to be drafted. Not so sure I want the Niners to take him 10-12ish.
I remember the last time the 49ers took the more athletic option over the more traditional passer. Alex Smith right, yea don't regret that at all.

Funny you bring up Rodgers. I went back last night and rewatched both of Rodgers' games vs USC. I can't believe that guy turned into the guy he did in the NFL. It's kind of shocking how robotic and almost stiff Rodgers played in college. His arm was strong, but it didn't at all appear god tier. A few mechanical changes early in his career made a drastic difference and helped Rodgers turn into the loose, smooth cat that we all know with a bazooka for an arm.

Interesting article about how Rodgers went from good arm to a god-tier arm: http://archive.jsonline.com/sports/packers/star-pupil-aaron-rodgers-college-coach-has-seen-qbs-game-evolve-b9992257z1-222767991.html/
