I'm getting so damn sick of hearing all this stupid "sources indicate Shanahan really wants to pick Mac Jones…" Nonsensical bulls**t.

Mac Jones Would Screenshot Rankings of Prospects Listed Higher Than Himself | Bleacher Report

"Mac Jones was far from a first-round prospect when he arrived at Alabama. Jones was a 3-star recruit, the 18th-rated pro-style quarterback in his high school class and someone who was probably considered a career back at a national power on Alabama's level.

Apparently, Jones remembers every word of doubt.

Rivals recruiting analyst Woody Wommack told Aaron Suttles of The Athletic that Jones used to screenshot the names of players ranked ahead of him.

"He would take screenshots of other kids' rankings and send them to me and be like, 'You think this kid's better than me? Really?'" Wommack said. "He did it constantly. He was right about every single one of them. But he would single every one of them out. He'd screenshot like some random kid in Texas, kids all over the southeast."

Not saying he is him, but Jones reminds me of Joe.

The same GMs, scouts and coaches who will tell you only 2 of these top 5 QBs draft will still be starters in 3 years. So let's mitigate those odds by taking the least talented QB, but don't worry he has all these attributes you can measure but trust us he has them because he won a national title with the most talented team in college football throwing screen passes.

To say Kyles's MO coming in was secrecy, it's funny how the media is running with the whole Mac Jones thing.

Didn't he hire John Lynch with the condition that he keep it a secret and he wanted the organization to run with closed mouths. How is it all of a sudden Sims predicts us with Mac and now its's a thing.

Who is starting all this Kyle loves Mac talk?

I don't think anything has leaked

it's just obvious when you connect the dots, and that's what the media is doing. Look at Shanahan's history, and then watch Mac Jones. He fits perfectly in the offense

also, most of the media I've been listening to still say Lance/Fields at 3

and Sims is an analyst who studies tape, he had Mac Jones as his #3 QB before we traded up... but he also knows Shanahan and his philosophy very well, so like others, all he's doing is connecting the dots

There is a killer inside of that Golly Gee Wilikers body.

Might have a bit of "Psycho Tom" in him too.

This kid was trash talking Nick Saban during practice as an underclassmen.

Mel Kiper compares Mac Jones to Tom Brady | Yardbarker

"Kiper joined WEEI's "Ordway, Merloni & Fauria" show this week and talked about the draft. When discussing his projection of the Patriots taking Jones, he compared the former Alabama quarterback to Tom Brady:

"What you need with a quarterback is competitiveness though the roof, Mac Jones has that. Tom Brady had that. You need to have an incredibly smart quarterback, that's Mac Jones. That was Tom Brady. It is Tom Brady. Certainly, that leadership, that ability to galvanize, Mac has that — coming out of Michigan, coming out of Alabama. So, there are similarities there."

Kiper recognizes that he is lifting expectations for Jones to a high level, but he explained why he thinks the QB can handle them:

"It's going to be unfortunate that people are going to have those high expectations if he goes to New England that they are getting the next Tom Brady, but that is life in the big city as they say. No matter where you go you're going to be expected to be really, really good.

"Mac playing at Alabama is probably prepared for that probably more than anybody else. This notion that they have all the talent around him allowed him to be successful is unfair. Tua had more talent around him than Mac Jones did, so there you go."

Difference is Josh Rosen was an F up in college and the NFL.

Dude couldn't keep his mouth shut if it was sewn tight. His arrogance didn't match his output at all.

okay but Kiper is probably the "draft guru" who's opinion I respect the least. Mac Jones just dropped down my draft board. smh.

throwing screen passes? you obviously have never seen him play, and yet you're in here, a message board thread complaining about him

watch this video, he's making all types of throws, and it's just 1 game, against a great football team and the biggest game of his life:
