I mean there's positives about almost every QB but one of the biggest indicators of future success to me has always been how a guy does in big game, big time situations. Montana and Brady showed up and played big in the biggest moments in their college careers. Deshaun Watson played big when the lights were brightest. Its going to be interesting to see how Mac handles himself and if he rises to the occasion and balls out or if he wilts.

Haha. I don't dislike Jones I think he's solid...similar to Kirk.

I want upside and game changers if we're using a top 10 pick on a QB.

I just think it's silly to settle at QB just because you're too scared to give up some draft capital.
It just comes down to how much capital is necessary. I wouldnt agree with giving up a first and second this year and a first and 2nd next year to get Wilson. I dont think its being scared. Its understanding that this team has a lot of holes at OL, ER, CB as well as QB. What do you think a reasonable offer would be?

With how many top QBs are available this year it won't cost nearly that much to move up.

So what do you think it would take to move up from #10 -to #2. Certainly more than just our 1st this year and next year.

Well, if I hold the 2nd overall pick and the 49ers wanna move up to my spot.. I would personally present 2 proposal and tell me if you'd pull the trigger.

A) 1st, 2nd (2020), 1st, 3rd (2021) and DEEVAH & KITTLE or WARNER.

B) 1st, 2nd (2020), 2nd, 3rd (2021) and BOSA

.. let the games begin !!

Come on man. Obviously the Niners would never make either of those trades.

I understand, but if you have the 2nd overall pick, what would you ask for? ?

If I am the Jets I want to evaluate all these QBs in further detail before I decide whether I am even listening to offers. They hold 2 firsts, a second and 2 thirds, so not starving for draft capital at all but they are starving for a FQB.

Meaning we are dropping to 15 draft Jones will be gone by then. We basically let New England Minnesota and Denver pass us in the draft order

It is far to early for all this certainty talk. A whole lot of off-season to go.

People saying stuff with way too much certainty. To argue that Jones goes before 15 means you think that 5 or 6 QB's go in the first 15 picks, something that has NEVER happened. Either that or you're expecting Wilson or Lance to drop.

They're will be at least 4 qbs taken in the first 15. I think jones is one of them. Lawrence, fields, wilson and jones.

There will always be options and if you don't like any of them then you trade for someone like Stafford or just roll with the guy you made it to the SB with in Garoppolo.


If running it back with Garoppolo for another year is the "worst case scenario", then I'm okay with that.

I still can't decide if I like Jones or Trask more. I'm leaning Jones but I think Trask can make more out of nothing than Jones can.
