Those 10% sunk our defense in the super bowl just 10 months ago.

Making something out of nothing matters. Being able to extend plays matter now.

We all watch football every week and see it happening across the league.

When you have a couple linemen out or a couple skilled players out (which we KNOW happens here) you need the QB to make plays.

Thing is we've seen Kyle can scheme around injuries. A mobile QB who can add the escape ability and big play down the field would be terrific to add to Kyle's offense but it may not be in our cards.

A QB who may not make those athletic plays but can be accurate and deliver the football on time while working well in the pocket would certainly not be a bad thing.

Say what you will about Jimmy but if he was able to make throws to all areas of the field with more consistency and made better decisions consistently we'd win the SB for sure last year.

I get you want a guy who is roster talent proof type but I'm not sure those guys exist. Mahomes is on a LOADED roster. Wilson has a pretty darn good set of receivers to work with and we've seen him get killed behind a poor line and no running game as well.

Pretty much any QB when faced with a broken down OL/lack of skill players isn't going to look great. Some guys do better than others for sure but I think we need to find the best guy for our roster and not try to find the best guy for our roster being in the s**tter again.

If Kyle thinks one of the non mobile QBs can execute his offense better than Jimmy, even if they're not super mobile and without huge arms it's a move worth making given his contract and injury issues. Otherwise we may as well try to upgrade other parts of the team with the draft pick and hope we can find our guy somewhere else or next draft.

So basically another CJ Bethard?

When it's all said and done, Mac is a top 15 pick especially if he wins the National Championship.

Correct, but he didn't and IMO hasn't shown that he is gonna be much better let alone healthy enough.

With that said I'm not against Mac. If we can get him in a trade back scenario I'm all for it.
