I believe the rule is 100 pages per draft pick. So Mac has moved on into 4th pick range. If he hits 500 it's 5th pick time.

if Fields hits 300 he's pick 3.

Mods enforce them. What I said came down straight from President of the 49ers.

Dude had to go to Canada to even get a sniff.

We can still see the bias in the scrutiny of Fields vs Jones.

That was Warren Moon. You mixed up your black QBs in your victimhood rant. Randall was drafted 37 overall and possibly would've went higher if he wasn't being courted by the USFL too.
I've watched a ton of material on all 3 of the top QB prospects. Quite a few analysts bring up the same point which I completely agree with. Drafting a mobile big armed QB like Lance and Fields enables Kyle to EVOLVE his offense. I''m hearing the world EVOLVE quite a bit and for good reason. They've also pointed out the Shanny arrogance is alive and well and this is starting to worry me a bit. Kyle likes what Kyle likes. That's fine. But if we draft Mac, we are basically drafting another Cousins or Matt Ryan. Does Kyle really want to continue on the same arc? At what point in time does the offense get old, stale and predictable?

Others have countered that Mac has a great arm. I'm not so sure. He has a good arm, not a great one. Speaking of great arms, I was watching a breakdown of Trey Lance's throws. They showed him completing a 20 yard out pattern. They mentioned that Trey gets his hips correctly pivoted and his entire lower body is moving forward when he makes this throw. He said many pro QBs don't launch themselves into the sideline throw like Trey does. Predictably the ball arrives fast and accurate. As a Niner fan, I'm a bit tired of the quick hitting slant pattern! I want to see the ball travel in the air for more than 30 yards! My kingdom for an occasional post pattern!!!!!!!Let's grab a player that will allow Kyle to EXPAND his playbook by leaps and bounds.

I'm not sure Mac Jones gets us there. I'd be afraid we'd be watching Groundhogs Day every Sunday if we draft him. Change the arc Kyle, dare to be better! That same handsaw that you've been using for the last 10 years is getting dull. Buy a chainsaw, Kyle :)

It's time for a different TYPE of QB!!!!!

Well, let's wait and see who Kyle wants. Personally I like all three QBs being talked about. They all will be fine QBs as long as Kyle is coach. If Kyle can take an undrafted QB and beat Seadderall, hey you have to give him some credit for QB evaluating, coaching and development.

I can take my Prius to work. But im not letting that be a reason to turn down a freaking helicopter.

Meh, I think its more like a helicopter with a targeting radar and one without. Just as folks say Feilds/Lance are decent pocket QBs, Mac is a decent scrambler.

Get NY back in here. We'll be up to 500 in 15 minutes.

This should do it:

"Mac is guaranteed to be Kyle's pick."

Is that such a bad thing? You still have to throw with accuracy and from the film I saw of him he's consistently very good at doing that, hitting his receivers in full stride and putting the ball where only they could get it despite being open and also leading his receivers away from contact when they were in close proximity to defenders.

Another reason I don't like PFF's crap: sometimes the reason the WR has a step on the defender when the ball is thrown is because the QB gets the ball in the air quickly. Likewise, sometimes the reason a WR is covered well is because the QB was too late to get him the ball, allowing the DB to recover. This s**t is ridiculous. The lengths these guys are going to wish away Jones is hysterical.

Jones probably is 50% going to be Shanahan's pick.
