I feel like Kyle could come out tell you straight up he was taking Mac Jones, and Mac haters would say it was a smokescreen. But we are the delusional ones?

Not sure who told you that. But they lied.

So they had a private workout with Mitch and went out to dinner with Kizer....apparently they've been having a ton of meeting with Harris who wasn't at the first Bama pro day. He's looked at as a late first rd pick and SF could very well move up for him. They almost took CEH if they stayed at 31 last yr.

Kyle also said he was having another pro day with fields and sent his father Peters and their head of scouting to OSU.

Mac Jones received scholarship offers from 22 colleges across the country, including Alabama, Arizona State, California, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Texas A&M, Washington State, Pittsburg, Rutgers and more, before choosing the Crimson Tide and calling Tuscaloosa home. He was a highly touted recruit, and considered a top-ten pocket passing quarterback in the nation according to ESPN, 247Sports and rivals.com.

Just think had he gone to any of those other schools, he'd be considered a day 2 pick. Weird how circumstances and environment matter. 🤔

From my understanding they were really considering drafting Mitch, but decided not to draft a QB that season. Is it possible he went to the Alabama pro day to watch another player? It is possible.... unlikely but possible. It is also possible that it was a smoke screen. Unlikely but possible.

I am not saying Mac to the 49ers is for sure. But if I was trying to connect the dots or look at what the signs are pointing to. The one and only dot/sign we have really gotten is that pro day to Alabama and that points to Mac.

Lol looks like he's gotta take a s**t

Yea, he runs like Eli Manning

That's a 2 time Super Bowl winner, I'll take it!

Maybe he was already set on fields and wanted to see if Jones could change his mind. And obviously with his dreadful proday he did not

Quote from Najee Harris:
"If there was one team that was talking to me hella, it was the … Niners," Harris told Schefter. "I still talk to them a lot, to this day. But I'm talking to them, 'Yeah, man, yeah, we're going to get in a Zoom meeting.'

"And I look on TV the next day. No. 3 pick. I'm like what the … ? They ain't picking no damn running back at No. 3."

Pretty interesting. Would make you think that we may be trading Jimmy G for some picks this year. Harris would be an absolute STUD under Shanahan in this offense. Mostert/Harris is pure lightning/thunder. One can dream...

First off, he did not have a dreadful pro day. A few overthrown deep balls, while the rest of your passes are dimes, does not equal a dreadful pro day.

Second. When you make a trade like this your instinct is not going to be, Hey guys, first things first, let's go check out the prospect we are least interested in and talk to him. Even though that means we will miss out on watching in person and talking to our favorite prospect. No, your instinct is going to be to go watch and talk to the guy who you fell in love with enough to make the trade to began with.

FWIW could have been using their time with Najee to quietly learn a little more about Mac.

In my opinion, that's exactly what is being done

I don't know that it's what it is, but teams have been known to do this. Wouldn't shock me at all.
I've come to terms that McDonalds will be a 49er. No use in reading rumors or listen to pundits. I always knew shanahan had this in him.
