I keep flip flopping but I'm now at that conclusion that even if mac ends up being a niner, no one truly knows and everyone is speculating and there is no concrete evidence like the jags obviously getting Lawrence and jets pretty much confirming Wilson is the guy. Ever since the press conference its been radio silent from kyle and John.

I wonder why they don't want to pick M.Ryans replacement out of the remaining two QB's Fields and Lance, especially Fields who's a Georgia native.

They probably wanted Jones also.

maybe they swap with Denver and pick up Drew to sit behind Ryan? Elway goes thru QB's like crazy.

I've never seen a more polarizing prospect then this dude. I am not in his camp at all and will be frustrated if/when we take him at 3, but I wouldn't be surprised by this regime at this point if he is the selection (See Soloman Thomas). Considering what they gave up to get him, this would be the most arrogant pick in NFL history.

Also ask yourself this: who do you think the other three teams in our division are rooting for us to draft?

Yup. Laughing stock. Hope Jimmy plays out of his mind this year.

It's amazing that he is getting so much buzz that nobody cares about QBs 1 and 2. Players with this much buzz always end up disappointing.

https://www.nfl.com/news/back-2-campus/joker-s-wild-why-alabama-qb-mac-jones-is-getting-the-last-laugh

"Off the field, there was an arrest for DUI during his redshirt year in 2017 that made Jones re-evaluate his priorities. His father had never been a drinker, even in college, and Mac knew his dad's disappointment would be profound."I focused on what was important to me, which was football." Jones said. "On nights when people would be going out, I would go to the indoor [football facility], throw into a net, watch film by myself. I'd usually close all the doors."

Added Hereford: "For me, that (DUI) incident was a transitional event for Mac. … He didn't go out anymore. He locked in and put his head down. He was balling before, but after that it was more of an 'I'm kicking ass and taking names' kind of vibe."

- Decent article about the "Joker"

It's depressing that Schefter is so matter-of-fact about this. He's not like most twitter sources, he's usually in the "know". But it's weird because the Niners have never telegraphed their moves before this, they are usually very good about not leaking stories.

But Schefter doesn't usually pontificate....

It isn't that bad, Mac is still a younger, cheaper and possibly less injury prone Jimmy and we have won plenty of games with Jimmy on the field. Getting Mac isn't going to destroy the franchise...he just doesnt move the needle in a positive direction either like Fields or Lance could if properly coached up.
Wouldn't it be awesome having two players on our team with the nickname "The Joker"?

If he knows he would say who told him.
