Priorities in the Mac crowd seem to put winning pretty low.

Good thing a lot of us want Mac, and think he will give us the best chance to win. Unless Wilson is available of course. Sooo it would be a win-win situation for some of us if we got Mac Jones, instead of the "athlete" Fields. And we get to see most of you have a tantrum.

I know, but there's been a few narratives. Simms guesses Kyle loves Jones which is fair and logical point imo. But nobody has otherwise heard ANYTHING from the regime correct? So what's Schefter basing his statement on? Like I want to know if we get the second pro day with Justin and Lance. I want to know who they been doing zoom meetings like crazy with etc. That's the stuff that matters and we haven't heard anything yet so I feel like everyone is just guessing.
Also not that it matters much, but you KNOW someone in the front office has to have mentioned the fanbase pulse so far lol

Like we've been saying.... If we draft Jones he's stepping on to that field with a 12gauge loaded to his head with this fanbase. Kyle too.... Is it fair? No idea, but that's the deal. It is not going to be pretty.

Funny has been wrong plenty...hell he said Bosa was going #1 over all. Worked out for us that time, could just as easily be wrong now.

I Guarantee they trade out of 4. That team's problem is not QB or a lack of playmakers and this is a QB/WR heavy top of the draft. Atlanta will trade out and take defense. A bunch of teams right now trying to get one of the QBs. Patriots, Denver, Bears, Saints, Washington. All these teams could be looking to move up for a QB. I think the pick is as good as traded at this point. Just a question of who is trading for it and when.

No one other than Kyle and John know. And the 9ers have been Fort Knox since they've arrived. What I'm a saying is Schefter's take holds more value than anyone else's, because of what I said in the previous post.

I probably won't be on board until 1 of two things happen.

1. Kyle wins a SB with Mac.

or

2. Justin Fields turns out to be a bust.

Then I will turn into full homer mode and worship the ground Shanahan walks on, and will become the President of the Mac Jones fan club. Until then, I will probably be pissed off while I cheer for myself to be wrong about him. Just like I cheered for Alex Smith.

His opinion is just like everyone else. He thinks that would be the logical pick. The best fit for Kyle's system. But he doesn't know anything more than any of us. Just because he's a good writer/reporter doesn't really give his opinion on this any more weight. The 49ers kept the trade really quiet so I doubt they would now just let anyone know who they are picking. I'm still not convinced that they won't trade back and get an extra pick and still land Jones if that's who they want.

I still feel that making a trade that was nearly unprecedented in 49er history to move up and take a QB that most feel is the 4th or 5th best is crazy.

To be fair, some of us think we could be getting both the best player and excitement from fan outrage. Though I think you're on to something. As we sit here today I think the outrage would excite me more.

I think that says more about the Zone than it does about Mac though.

Garoppolo will actually play really well and there will even be fans saying perhaps, they should keep him for another year
365 days later, fans will have picked all of the sand grains out of their vaginas

Other than a Jones pulling Russell Wilson and forcing out the incumbent, your scenario is essentially the best case scenario.
