Interception in the nfl

Lol spend 3 1sts on a guy we already have

keep talking yourselves into McCorkle, you can cry on my shoulder in a yr or two. It's okay.

Shanahan really f**ked him up. He looked so good when he came here.

If Mac is the pick at three then imo he was the pick the whole time no question and was the reason for the trade up. Given his skill set that would lead me to believe Shannahan is absolutely blown away and infatuated with his processing and to a lessor extent accuracy. Processing is what made Brady, manning, and brees hall of famers. If Mac is the pick at #3 imo Shannahan thinks there's a chance he's one of those guys.
And would be wrong

Lol I almost comped him to Teddy. Figured that would get some backlash though.
The kind of leader who shows up with 14% body fat at his pro day.

Claiming someone is a great leader is the most generic, lazy, and cliche analysis I can think of. I want someone to tell me, specifically, what Mac Jones has done that qualifies him as a better leader than any other QB in the draft. I'll wait.

lol keep manufacturing some fake scenario in your head

i hope they take fields or lance over mac. my only contention is how bad you think mac is.

i'd rank the qbs as follows

1. wilson
2. lawrence
3. fields
4. lance
5. jones

though i'd be fine with any of them if kyle believes we can win SBs with him

Very well said.

Some guys are great leaders, some guys aren't and you can easily pick out the great ones. Dak Prescott had a leadership quotient through the roof. Guys were ready to jump in front of a moving train for him, they believed in him to a crazy degree, everyone swooned over him from teammates, coaches, school faculty, other students and people in the local community. He had a surplus of charisma, it was easy to tell that he was a strong field general.

I wouldn't put Jones or anyone else at that level because Dak had a tier all to himself but you can see that this guy has a tremendous amount of respect from teammates, from coaches, how he took control during games, even at the Senior Bowl you had scouts praising his leadership ability and how he was quickly taking over drills and telling people where to line up, what they needed to he doing. Teammates and coaches will usually say something nice about a player, nobody wants to f**k someone's draft status but with Jones you've seen a lot of over the top kind of praise from teammates and around the program.

"The guy was just playing two weeks ago," Rhule told reporters on Wednesday. "The fact that he's here, I think, speaks a lot about who he is. You get a chance to see his intelligence. He makes really quick decisions. He processes information quickly, highly intelligent. He's an alpha. He's the first guy on the practice field. He's the first guy in the runnings.

"He's got a lot of really, really, really strong traits."

"Mac has always been a workhorse," Leatherwood said. "Ever since he came on campus, he has been one of the hardest workers. I feel like it has been consistent with him coming into this fall camp. He works his ass off and he's a great team player and leader for our team."

"Guy's accurate. He's a friggin' winner. He's a real dude," an NFC scout said. "Obviously, his teammates (receivers Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith) are coming out and talking about how they'd play for him over Tua -- I don't think it's a slight to Tua, these guys have had a lot of success with Mac as the guy. He's got a chance to be a stud in the league."

There's no question that he's a very good leader but that in itself obviously isn't enough to have success at the NFL level. Its a good trait to possess as a quarterback but it takes a whole lot more. I don't see any of these QB's as lacking in that area so really its a toss up but its clear that Jones handled himself very well.
16:40 minute mark of this video does a great breakdown of a bunch of Jones passing plays.

There are just so many subtle things about Mac's game that really impress me. JT O'Sullivan described some of his plays like that of a 10-year vet. I'd be lying if I said I picked up on all of the nuances while watching him. I have a basic grasp of QB play, but it takes a person who's played QB at a relatively high level to identify and appreciate all the little things he does. I believe the little things Mac does will ultimately be one of the driving factors in Kyle loving this kid.

"I know you guys want to hate the kid, but I don't know what to tell you this. This is high-level quarterback play." - Tim Jenkins on Mac Jones. That quote sums it up best.

Nothing that you put there means anything. He told people where to line up....ok. He's a "real dude"....ok.

That's meaningless mumbo-jumbo and it's not impressive. Justin Fields or Davis MIlls haven't told people where to stand before?

What QB in this draft doesn't have coaches and teammates telling people how great of a leader he is? Every person on the 49ers was saying this about Jimmy a month ago. They'll be saying it about whoever we draft in a year from now.

My point is we have "analysts" who can only come up with "He's they type of leader NFL teams want" as reason for talking about him as a high draft pick. That's not sophisticated analysis.

You ignored just about everything that I said, but that's cool, go off.

If he doesn't end up on the 49ers, I could see Belichick liking Jones a whole lot. The attention to detail is outstanding and he's clearly putting in the work in film study.

Okay, back to bashing Jones.

The throw at 18:45 is definitely NFL elite level.

That's fine, the video wasn't posted as an argument that Jones should be the #1 quarterback, or #2 or #3 or #4, simply an illustration of the sorts of things he brings to the table as a quarterback.
