Exactly. Someone said in the other thread "well Mac could work out more, get faster, throw harder, etc". This is the type of mental gymnastics you deal with when conversing with mac-ers

LOL. Yeah, physical limitations vs. mental and natural limitations.

Or if your first read is the Heisman winner

What mental limitations? Lol

Which QB are you talking about? I was talking about laughing that Mac is going to get stronger, faster, more mobile. A tad but nothing extreme.

Lol pretty much...but seriously let's talk about what an amazing processor Jones is, never mind a 3rd of his passing attempts are at the LOS or his 1st read. Never mind he had more "open yards" then any QB in college football (more screen yards than anyone too).

Never mind his passing grade plummets after that first read...but you know he's such an amazing processor. Man we would be so lucky to only have to spend 3 1sts on him.

but you know he's so heady, I hear he's sneaky athletic too.

Totally agree with this. I love Kyle the coach but hate Kyle the GM. His stupid f**king love for below average players or total reaches is starting to piss me off

Yeah and no one wants a Russell Wilson type in the NFL. No one.

Nobody wants the negative parts I was referencing. You know, the ones that only take him so far annually.

33-15 record the last 3 seasons with Wilson averaging 35 TDs and 8 INTs.

Because reality.

K.

30 of this 33 wins are a clunky offense for 58 minutes with 2 minute heroics.

But I'm more interested in QB's who can win Championships, not regular seasons.

Also, I wasn't comparing the two directly...just the negative parts of Russell's game and style.

K.

One in a row.

Only current QBs with Multiple Super Bowls wins are Ben Roethlisberger who last won in 2008 and Tom Brady.

Hmmm. Pocket passers 2 > 1 and that 1 was just along for the ride.

Russell Wilson's a pocket passer though. He just happens to be a dynamic one.

He's definitely worked hard on it.

and that's what people seem to not get...you can have a QB that can be a pocket passer first and can also extend plays...it's like no one has watch Steve Young play football? It's like people didn't watch Lawrence or Wilson this yr WHOM everyone seems to have no problem drafting...

and here's McCorkle outside of the pocket/extending plays...guess what kids you gotta be able to do that in the NFL it's no Bama vs whomever at the next level.

do people not think it's weird that if SF doesn't draft Jones (for 3 1sts) he might drop to like the mid 1st

Honestly, I thought if there was one moment in WZ history were everyone agreed on something it would be that in no way is Jones worth 3 1sts or should be the pick...yet there's still a couple out there all about it??

Again, you have no idea if that statement is true. Only a handful of people at Bama and Mac know if that is true. The evidence we have says that statement is dead wrong.

If it IS TRUE....... you are talking about the best QB in the draft, and its not even close. IF the 9% number that is reported is true....you are talking about an ungodly prospect.

IF it was true your talking about a guy with the arm talent to force the ball to his primary read at over 80% accuracy while setting the record for best passing efficiency in the entire HISTORY OF COLLGE FOOTBALL.

With NFL coaching and proper read progressions, he would be nearly unstoppable if he had the ability to hit his primary read 80% of the time in the SEC.

But, we know that is BS....we know he hit multiple reads regularly....just like we know no one wants to give up 3 draft picks for him.

Denver, given their recent failures in QB drafting, not going to risk it IMO. Next stop NE or CHI IMO. I still think it's not gonna be Jones. It's beyond the pale if they take 'Nickel Slots' Jones at 3.

You seem to be all over the map here.
Starting to feel a little better about Mac Jones as the pick now that Grant Cohn came out strongly against it. Cohn is a pretty reliable contrary indicator.
