Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

A lot of people are gonna think this is a joke but I'm kind of serious about it. The only way I will call him Mac is when he wins the Super Bowl I don't care if we draft him. There are some important macs out here that earned that name. You don't just get to be in the bay area and shorten your name because your name is horrible. you have to earn that title. Call Jones what you want but I will never refer to him as a Mac Jones until he wins the Super Bowl if he comes here. But until that point he is Maccorkle Jones Or however you spell it

My brother made the horrible mistake of making his wifi password JimmyG10. I would never honor a guy with my wifi password until he has secured the Lombardi. But for Mac, I don't know, that's the guys name since he was a kid. We're going to win multiple Super Bowls with him. People are going to have to walk a lot of stuff back. Going to be awkward. Jersey sales will be light at first, then everyone will be piling in. Fields, though, he'll top the league in jersey sales and then they'll all have to be sheepishly mothballed and forgotten by 2025. You just need to love Mac, and the sooner you come to the realization the better. It's a little like Ted Lasso. Just give in.

Mac just needs to get in better shape, then everyone will see him in a different way.
Jones is slipping in the draft. This thread only went 13 pages today.

He had 3 different coordinators. Daboll, Locksley, and Sarkisian. And yes, those two qbs are now starters on the NFL.
I want Fields to be the pick, but you guys knocking Mac Jones sound ridiculous with some of these posts.
Fields transferred because he couldn't beat out Fromm. Wilson wasn't recruited by the big dogs. Neither was Lance.

Another fun fact I learned today. Fields committed to Penn State, and then reneged and went to Georgia. And then he bailed on Georgia to go to Ohio State. How 'bout them apples. Sounds a little bit like a diva.

Penn State recruited him first and hardest, but he went to his local school, not uncommon.

He also won a legal battle to get out of Georgia without having to sit in the protocol for a year.

Nothing definitive but I bet it had something to do the fact Fromm's parents are Georgia boosters, or that he was lied to in recruiting.

Why else would he win the battle?

Besides, I just can't fathom how anyone think Mac Jones is better than Fields.

If Fields had the same athleticism as Jones, it would still be close due to the arm strength disparity. Fields makes throws Mac can only dream of.

Really, don't they have a conditioning program at Alabama?

Mac needs to take some good supplements + testosterone + get some liposuction!

Or he could workout with a real hard core trainer, add 10 lbs of muscle, build up his triceps to add 5 mph on his fastball and buff up his legs and core so he can move better

Well that's funny because Brady had his own starter issues back in 99. UM would play this game where they started Henson in the 1st quarter, Brady 2nd and then finish with the hot hand. And it reminds me of the people saying that DK Metcalf wasn't the #1 receiver at Ole Miss so he's obviously going to bust in the pros. No, it just means AJ Brown is pretty good. Tua and Hurts starting just means they're legit NFL prospects too. One was drafted in the 1st, the other 2nd and the guy who got benched so far looks better.

People need to watch college football and see this sh happens all of the time. Miami once had Gore, McGahee, and Portis as their backs. Someone isn't going to start. That doesn't mean Clinton Portis is trash because he was 3rd string.

None of these people were the number 3 pick in the NFL draft. Which another team traded 2 first round picks for. The kid plated in a system and learned it pretty good.

I hope he gets in a good situation in the nfl. My point is, we've got folks defended the position of moving up to get him. We get too hyped up! I watch college football a little. I realize sometimes a little more goes into it than just who can play. But my point was I'm tired of this processing crap as an excuse. Even when I see film of how good he is, I'll see him throw to the best man, not the open man. Throwing into double coverage! And it just so happens his man out jumps and out runs the opponent every time.

Calling it what it is, he a late first rounder, early second!
if he has time to learn on a decent team, he'll be a good backup.

If he's the pick - he needs to get seriously in better condition. I'm sure Shanny will push him to get in better shape. Plus, it will help his image.

We can do it!!!!

I don't mind being aggressive and swinging for the fences. Niner Nation wants that.

But swing for the damn fences. That is not Mac Jones. Get a player that could potentially be the best. I don't see that in Mac Jones. For 2 future first round picks, and a third!

Again, you have no idea if that statement is true. Only a handful of people at Bama and Mac know if that is true. The evidence we have says that statement is dead wrong.

If it IS TRUE....... you are talking about the best QB in the draft, and its not even close. IF the 9% number that is reported is true....you are talking about an ungodly prospect.

IF it was true your talking about a guy with the arm talent to force the ball to his primary read at over 80% accuracy while setting the record for best passing efficiency in the entire HISTORY OF COLLGE FOOTBALL.

With NFL coaching and proper read progressions, he would be nearly unstoppable if he had the ability to hit his primary read 80% of the time in the SEC.

But, we know that is BS....we know he hit multiple reads regularly....just like we know no one wants to give up 3 draft picks for him.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about
This is the best trigger thread in NT.

Honestly, I thought if there was one moment in WZ history were everyone agreed on something it would be that in no way is Jones worth 3 1sts or should be the pick...yet there's still a couple out there all about it??

Denver, given their recent failures in QB drafting, not going to risk it IMO. Next stop NE or CHI IMO. I still think it's not gonna be Jones. It's beyond the pale if they take 'Nickel Slots' Jones at 3.

Right? I can see him going to like Pitt/NO or something to sit for a yr. if SF passes on him he could drop like a rock. Maybe his agent knows this and is hyping up his draft stock via Schefter/Rapp and Co.
