To reiterate, 44 qbs have gone first, second or third overall in the last 50 NFL drafts, and exactly two--Aikman and Peyton--have won Super Bowls starting for the teams that drafted them. That makes selecting qbs up high exceptionally risky. My parting shot for @otlonespn: pic.twitter.com/XZ7jEVNmbK

Again, I'm pretty sure all three QB's if they are chosen, will do fantastic if Kyle is coaching them.

Or they would prefer to give Mac time to acclimate to the NFL game and not rush things. No matter what QB is taken at 3, he won't be better than JG on day one.
Isn't the whole point in taking Jones because he's some QB savant that's ready day 1?
If the plan is to sit whomever for a yr, why in the world would you not go for elite traits and upside? Makes absolutely no sense
No. Mac jones is the perfect robot for shanahans perfect system. He will benefit to take a year to play under center and really intellectualize the offense while jimmy plays. Apparently he is smarter than einstein.
Fields is the worst fit in shanahans system. Lance is not very accurate and too raw.
Mac is the pick whether the fans like it or not.

That's still a higher percentage than the number of QBs that weren't selected 1,2, or 3.

Well as so many have pointed out in this thread, if you are going to be picked 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. You (as a QB) will be going to the worst, second worst, or third worst team in the NFL. That means that your chances of winning a super bowl being on a bottom feeding team is ridiculously slim.

That card will apply once Kyle finally gets his hand picked QB in this draft. Then we'll have a baseline for what he really wants vs. what he's played with or acquired.

How many of them were drafted to a Superbowl roster with a genius offensive Head Coach?

Exactly. This gives me great hope for all three guys coming here especially if they get to sit, learn and be properly built up.

"The teams that drafted them" is a silly out,...with numerous ones winning it elsewhere."
Teams with our caliber of weapons aren't usually drafting #3 overall (we got there due to trade),....it's usually teams that perennially suck.
As is usually the case,...read the fine print.

On the other hand, that genius head coach has a losing record with 12 out of the 15 starting QBs he's had.

6th round QBs have won 7 of the last 20 Super Bowls

Why would you take QBs anywhere else? https://t.co/BQYEsw6Yi9
we all know why as well...s**t teams s**t coaches are usually drafting at the top. Such a dumb hollow "stat"
also no Elway or Eli?

And most of those 44 went to Texas deep into a rebuild when they were picked. Kind of a unique situation for 49ers, who have way way more talent than most top 3 drafting teams.
So we don't need to worry about the bad team end of the curve, we just need to pick the most talented QB there.

Hedging his words.
"By the team that drafted them."
Elway and Eli were both draft and trades. Would throw the entire stat out if they had just traded the pick instead....same result.
