Drew Bledsoe.....

Terry Bradshaw

Lets think about this... I don't think this stat is correct....

( i almost said eli maning too....but yeahhh....traded)

If you take out the WIN the Super Bowl part....The field expands by a ton. You end up adding McNair, McNabb, Matt Ryan. If you take out unique situations like Eli and Elway....

Yeah you end up with a strong correlation of success to Top QB prospects...its almost line the NFL knows this and drafts top QB prospects high.

Elway and Eli were both draft and trades. Would throw the entire stat out if they had just traded the pick instead....same result.

Also how many players in general drafted top 3 who won Super Bowls with the team that drafted them? Only guys I can think of are Pace/fisher/Miller?

Only 29 starting QBs have ever won the Super Bowl, so no matter how you acquire a QB the statistics will not be in your favor.

Russell Maryland, DT. That's all I got.

No, it's being in personnel control and not bringing in a single athletic profile QB in 5 off seasons (to date).

How many guys have had the athletic profile of Fields with the similar ability in the pocket he has?

Outside of Dobbs CJ was as athletic if not more so than anyone else drafted outside the first in 2017.

Because what you think are elite are not what Kyle sees as elite for his system. Perception.

And I'm not saying I don't understand your take either. Believe me, I get it!

"You go back to that one general manager, his exact words were, he's got elite accuracy, he's an elite processor and he's got elite leadership skills," Schefter said. "Those were his exact words. He said that he is higher on draft boards, more highly rated than fans believe he is. So I like to go to people whose opinion I respect, ask them their opinion and see what they say. And what I've heard about Mac Jones so far is pretty strong, pretty favorable."

Of course, it's Mac's passing accuracy, processing speed, decision making, passion and leadership that is most attractive.

But Mac isn't the stiff athletically people make him out to be.
4.7 40, 7.04 3 cone are damn good times. A 32" vert means that he can dunk.
He's quick in the pocket and good hand-eye coordination from his years of playing tennis.

All of his test numbers are above average for QB's
Mac's Pro Day
Height: 6-2 5/8 Weight: 217
40-yard dash: 4.72, 4.68
Vertical jump: 32 inches
Broad jump: 9 feet, 8 inches
Shuttle: 4.39
3-cone: 7.04

Mac is a late bloomer who with a good workout regime could add 10+ pounds of muscle and still gain considerable strength and speed in both his arm and legs. He will get faster, quicker and a stronger arm. He hasn't had a serious workout regimen probably because Alabama didn't expect him to be the starter.

Mac Jones goes through his progressions a few times and now he's labeled as this idiot savant football genius.

Nobody said or is saying that.

There is literally a guy in this thread positively referring to him as rainman lol.

So we take what one guy says and pass it off as the general opinion or consensus?

Been tons of references to his "elite processing " here and everywhere else for that matter. This processing claim is nothing new.

I won't stand for the Josh Johnson slander either...pretty sure he's on the team right now

Have to be willing to actually workout to gain that 10 lbs of muscle and stop crushing chips Ahoy and beer. Big ask.

Speed and arm strength won't change.
