I don't care about what he did when he was 12, but it's interesting when considering that it was reported that he scrubbed his social media of several thousand tweets and pictures awhile back.

We're also not picking a player in Madden. Character is going to be a huge factor in determining whether these QBs succeed or not. Teams can and should look at all of this stuff, especially since they can't really meet with them ahead of time this year due to the pandemic. If we're giving up 3 first rounders for a guy, we need to be sure of his character.

49ers are and have been doing their background work on Fields, Lance and Jones. There isn't a doubt in my mind that no stone will be left unturned in the process.

The hate is simply childish. He simply represents the non-athletic flashy off-schedule big play guy. Mac just isn't "exciting." Simple as that. He's the classic drop back pocket passer who moves the offense methodically down the field for a TD vs. a guy who gets real or ghost-pressure, scrambles behind the LOS for over 3 seconds and heaves a 50 yard bomb for a TD...like Fields' pro day workout. Fans get so excited about that.

This is an oversimplification. The man is consistently out of shape (anyone else out of shape drops their draft stock rather than rising). IT is fair to be wary of a QB who had the perfection situation at all levels around him because he wont have that in the NFL.

Have you ever fast tracked an early undergraduate and master's degree while learning a Steve Sarkisian playbook? Yeah...you don't have time for squat (literally and figuratively).

Let him get into an NFL building where football is 24/7.

I don't think it will affect Mac, just as it didn't affect Bosa. Even the picture and message is a bit ambiguous. No-bama (like in No alabama?) or something else?

Except there's no evidence that he didn't make football his priority, people are upset that he didn't make the weight room his priority as a pure pocket passer. No one has ever accused him of slouching on film study or not putting work into his throwing mechanics.
