So Albright is a lier then? I'm pretty sure I've seen you use his info plenty in here...Dan was immediately discredited over and over.

lapping? Give me a break...I posted a couple tweets from a reputable person like Albright, you've done the same in here.

Why? It's an an actual story...

Is it though?

Personally it looks like propaganda staged just weeks before the draft, Albright doubles down on this stuff too when he added a tweet following stating Jones needs to explain "other" things to his future employers....mystery things that I guess only Albright knows about.

Unless he elaborates on what these other issues are, this is just the same sort of "I've heard things" logic that Orlovsky used, that people complained that he didn't vet properly before running with it.

Why does he have to elaborate? He's doing what Dan should have done and let the teams figure what this kid is or isn't and not throw him on to dry.

Or maybe other teams actually DO know...ever think that?

How is this sort of stuff any different that Orlovsky running down Fields for supposed issues with his work ethic?

Agree. I don't think it's relevant to Mac's or Field's career if it's not true.

If this was Orlovsky saying "well there's things that Fields needs to explain to NFL teams" you'd be losing your s**t over it. He's throwing something out there to be sensationalist and no other reason.

If he knows something then he may as well come out and say it.

We don't know who that is in the costume first of all, second of all, around this time Jones was 13 years old. Do we need to start doing detailed investigations into what every single one of these prospects was doing in middle school? I always thought stuff like that was self-explanatory but perhaps not.

I guess to each their own, but a QB is essentially a de facto CEO. Perception is a big part of the hiring process. Yes, I'd ask. It could be someone else (which I'm sure he'll say). But it would probably lead to more investigation.

Even if it was him. I do not get why this is even a topic of discussion. Would you say a little kid who was non-white would have to explain himself if he wore either a Bush mask or Trump mask? That had a sash that said Nobush or Nevertrump? You realize they make those same masks for every president right? No, it would be a nonissue. If he was an adult when he did this, you might have to explain to him that you are the face of our company and you need to stay away from that type of political stuff. He does not have to explain to anyone why he didn't like a certain president as a little kid.

I wouldn't be surprised if teams already knew about that. They probably go through families social media too.

He'll explain whatever NFL teams ask him to explain if he wants to get drafted. NFL teams have also been known to ask draft prospects questions about all sorts of things. There was a story not too long ago about a prospect being asked if his mother had ever worked as a prostitute before he was born.

Also, if all of this stuff is meaningless and something every kid does, and a DUI is something that everyone in college gets, then it's interesting that he's the only QB in the top 5 that seems to have done this stuff.

Mac and Fields will be fine. I"m betting this is stuff *other* opposing teams (and talking heads, and social influencers) are doing for clicks, ratings, and to mess with the other teams evaluations. I'm pretty sure ShanaLynch knows the truth of the matter and pretty much even before they traded up, have knowledge of at least 85% to 95% of all the top QB's backgrounds, and if not -- this is why they paid such a big price to trade up a month before the draft, to get more information and intelligence on the background of these QB's.

well the whole internet lost their s**t over it. He was proven wrong less then 24 hrs and had to backtrack immediately.

He's throwing something out there that's been out there...it wasn't hiding on some thumb drive in Saban's desk lol. Pauline also said Jones has some background s**t that teams like SF we're looking into.

The truth will come out either way, teams will do there homework.

You'd hope so. They've already been burned by one Alabama prospect that they didn't do enough homework on. I doubt they want to make it two. Whoever they pick better be squeaky clean.
