Who says that they didn't do enough homework on Foster? They clearly knew there were issues since they sent the team chaplain to go hang out with him at his home.

Mac and Fields will be fine. I"m betting this is stuff *other* opposing teams (and talking heads, and social influencers) are doing for clicks, ratings, and to mess with the other teams evaluations. Obviously there were issues since he got kicked out of the combine. It's not like these incidents were hidden. They either didn't do enough homework on the type of person he was or they erroneously thought they could overcome it. Either way, it's a cautionary tale about ignoring red flags just because you like a player and it's hopefully something they've learned from.
