"I would say 98 percent of the league believes the 49ers are taking Mac Jones," Lombardi said. "For all the talk about Justin Fields having a great workout, there's people in the league that don't think it was a great workout. Maybe those are the people who aren't drafting a quarterback, but let's leave Fields out of the conversation for a moment."https://clutchpoints.com/nfl-draft-rumors-mac-jones-to-49ers-done-deal-for-98-of-the-league/

I've already asked you to take this stuff elsewhere. Take the night off.

I don't really care what a guy says about what a bunch of people think that some other guy is going to do weeks from that time.

Does that make it better?
There are 5 QBs being talked about at the top of the board. 1 of them has a history of DUI and racist photos. He's also the least talented of the group.
Seems like a pretty easy call to take him off your board.
1 DUI is not a history of DUI's. And just because we haven't heard, does not mean that these other kids don't have things we don't know about. We didn't know about Laremy Tunsil's Marijuana use until 10 minutes to the draft when his Twitter was hacked and that video came out, some teams took him off their board entirely and some didn't.
He didn't post the photo so he doesn't have a history of racist photos that we can factually point to. All we do know is his sister posted the photo and she tagged his account in the tweet.
A DUI in your history is exactly what a history of DUI is. And it doesn't matter who posted it. He's the guy at the center of said racist photo. And now we are hearing about a bunch of scrubbed social media for Jones. What else was in there?
BTW, deleting those posts only deleted the link to them in the database, it doesn't delete them from existence. They are out there, somewhere.
One arrest, not a conviction as a minor and then a clear process towards redemption might be more valued than a perfect record.
You're arguing that it's actually a positive thing to get a DUI?
He also wasn't a minor. 19 is a fully grown and self-accountable adult as much people may want to pretend otherwise.

Obama was a terrible president. Put our economy in the toilet. Why do they sell masks if only one race is aloud to where them. Should they put warning labels on them, "wearing this mask may cause cancel culture to ruin your life, and assert you a racist without actual proof"? Are black people aloud to wear trump masks or does this only go one way?
Seriously interested, let's here it.
If its so devastating to wear a mask that is sold to the public should we cancel the mask makers?
Lol

Gonna make the 2% who know its Fields feel real strong. I think the real translation is the league is 'hoping' Kyle drafts Jones. I'm sure 98% of league wants Kyle to fail and drafting Jones would pretty much assure that. Three first rounders for mediocre everything? Phhhht. Please!

exactly! most of the media is east coast bias...they hate SF and don't want Shanahan to start his dynasty with Fields/Lance.
I'd love for media members to disclose who their favorite team every time they are on a show...pretty sure none of them have the 49ers

I'm arguing that a comeback story from a mistake that is owned up to and used as a form of motivation to be a better person is in many ways valued in this country.
You guys are so stuck up on a DUI as a 19 year old and are using it to define who he is a human being today and forever.
It would be one thing if he repeated this mistake to become a lifetime f up like Chad Kelly or Ryan Leaf but according to reports he's used it to make himself a better player and person. That he instead of going out as a young adult in college he instead took a new more mature route to his life. I bet it played a huge part in motivating him to put in the hard work in school to graduate with both his undergrad and masters while he grinded away waiting for his chance to prove himself on a national championship team.
This story won't drag him down in the eyes of the decision makers IMO.

Lol, if you actually believe he no longer drinks and drives you're naive as hell. This isnt a redemption story, it's a drunk frat boy who happens to be good at football. He isnt some paragon of humanity, a beacon of redemption.

Yeah I doubt Lombardi has that kind of inside on 98 percent of the league.

Lol, Got ourselves a snowflake here.
If you think its about the mask and not the dreads you're overlooking the problematic part on purpose to give that nice ol benefit of the doubt some people get and not others.

Hmm!
