This thread is filled with people saying he will be bad.

Yeah, either you like him or hate him.

Nah nobody really saying he will be bad, this team is too talented and Shanny is too good with his play calling for that to happen. We saying in no world besides the Shanahans is this guy worth the 2021 #3 overall pick, 2022 1st and 3rd and 2023 1st and no coach besides Shanny would take him before Justin Fields and most teams, Lance too.

Who is worth that?

.

So, sloppy 3rds? Got it.

Cool, so basically the Cowboys are the Bengals. How outstanding.

I have never said Kyle can win with any QB and if I understand correctly, only a couple of those guys were personally selected by him. I don't think anyone was expecting CJ or BDN to be franchise guys. With this #3 pick we're talking about a guy who is expected to be THE guy.

If that's all you want you don't have to spend 3 1sts that's the whole issue here. I think whatever QB that goes to SF will be okay/good...like Jimmy. Some have massive ceilings and one does not

Why is this so hard for people to grasp? No one is saying he'll be bad. You just don't give up that many picks for a "good" QB.

It's Jimmy all over again....literally everyone in the fanbase has said he'd be bad, why else are Niners fans all over the Internet threatening to smash their TVs if Mac is the pick

Because trading up to #3 to get him wasn't necessary. This has been explained by many of us. You don't give up that many picks for a "good" QB.

Actually if he turns out "good" nobody will care where he was drafted.

He's losing that argument horribly. BTW.

I listened to the Kurt Warner interview on the Eisen show. He talked about all the good things that Jones does and compared Mac to himself (although he isnt sure that Jones can make the special throws that he could). Sounded very favorable. Then Eisen asked him who he would take if he made the pick. He didnt hesitate... Justin Fields was his answer.

Weird lol

Very:

His own rankings:
1. Trevor Lawrence
2. Zach Wilson
3. Mac Jones
4. Justin Fields
5. Trey Lance

Once again, be careful what you wish for.

Well not getting involved ever hasn't exactly made this team great either

we've been overall a s**tty to avg team for what 20 yrs? A couple trips to a SB slapped in between avg to bad for two decades.

Yorks "Getting involved" caused this franchise to fire successful coaches(Harbaugh & Mooch) and replace them with an old drunk and a neanderthal (Erickson & Tomsula) but hey, let Jed tear down the FO and we can go back to getting stomped out by every team in the league then we won't have to worry about trading up to get into the top 5 all because the FortyWhiner fanbase hates Mac

Jed York: Lets coach pass on top 5 talent to take top 20 talent.

Whos doing it better....

49ers, 4 NFC championship game appearances, 2 SB appearances in the past 10 years.

Dallas=zero of any of the above for 25 years and counting.

Who is doing it better?

Yep. Whenever he's questioned on anything, Jed just needs to hold up his hand and show off his Super Bowl appearance rings.

Nobody threats to smash their TVs for a "good" pick

Found Shanny's post-it note after trading up to 3

Sorry, he needs to be elite for the #3 overall and those valuable draft picks. Top 10 minimum. Kirk goddamn Cousins ain't cutting it. Best in NFC West by year three, otherwise he's a bust. Are the niners gonna endure another Alex Smith like saga, year after year of marginal play? Better f**king not. They'll be picking another QB in 2024 if this tool bag can't live up to his draft position and all they gave up to get him.

Jerry Jones and The Cowboys are once again the bar for successful franchises even though they haven't won or been in any relevant games since VCRs were popular....

it's time to leave the bar and call an Uber guys

Since 2000-

49ers-8 playoff wins, 4 conference championship games, 2 SB appearances.

Dallas-3 playoff wins, 0 conference championship games, 0 SB appearances.

Cowboys fans would kill just to sniff one SB.

Guys that have the elite physical traits to become superstars at their positions. High ceilings. (Fields, Lance) The only guy in the draft class that was neck and neck, 1A and 1B with the guy going number one since high school. Or the guy that some actually thought did surpass the #1 guy this season (Wilson) and it isn't just Simms that has him #1

Busted.

Pull your pants up...your bias is showing.
