Mac Jones-QB-Jaguars

Exactly. This is Kyle's first ever hand picked prodige. This is what he'll be judged on. If he gets it right he can write his own ticket in this league for the next decade at least and will probably make close to $100m while doing so.

Lol he could have hand picked Mahomes/Watson...Schefter reported that Josh Allen would have left college a yr earlier if SF was gonna draft him. He passed on ALL of that for the hope of giving $100M to freaking Kirk cousins!

the whole debate with that tweet is Kyle can no win with any Joe blow playing QB. He's planning on taking a QB that damn near the same as Jimmy. WTF are we doing?

That's true. He had some insane WRs, however on film I see him throwing to those guys in stride on the regular. That's something Jimmy couldn't do consistently.

If that's all you want you don't have to spend 3 1sts that's the whole issue here. I think whatever QB that goes to SF will be okay/good...like Jimmy. Some have massive ceilings and one does not

Why is this so hard for people to grasp? No one is saying he'll be bad. You just don't give up that many picks for a "good" QB.

It's Jimmy all over again....literally everyone in the fanbase has said he'd be bad, why else are Niners fans all over the Internet threatening to smash their TVs if Mac is the pick

Because trading up to #3 to get him wasn't necessary. This has been explained by many of us. You don't give up that many picks for a "good" QB.

Nobody threats to smash their TVs for a "good" pick

Sure they do, if there are two other elite talent QB's available that get passed up for the "good" QB.

The 2 "elite" QBs each have their own share of question marks as well, the only elites are Trevor & Zach, which we clearly aren't getting. If Jones is the pick there's no reason for fans to outrage, if the expectations are that he'll be a multiple pro bowl QB. Hope for the best and if he sucks on the field, then will be the time for pitchforks and torches

I said elite talent. Jones doesn't have that.

And just like his dad he won't win what matters without that elite QB.

Any of y'all don't want your tickets, you just let me know.

The way this is going i might start going to games again if they draft Mac. I'm loving the storyline.

They'll be easy to get and cheaper too. So there's that.

I doubt it. Mac gonna throw 30tds his rookie year and be the toast of the league more likely.

Thing is you're not drafting just for this year. Hell the trade basically means we're putting 3 first round picks into him and a 3rd rounder.

What happens if injuries hit like last season? What happens if we can't keep guys in FA? The team won't be this talented his whole career. I have no doubt Jones can play well within this offense with the talent we have there. Can he do it if 5 years down the road when he's about to get a hopefully huge money deal and we can't keep all these other guys can he win with lesser players around him?

Shanahan wasn't officially hired until late January, the deadline to enter the draft was a few weeks prior to that. I'm guessing Shanahan was far more involved with building a coaching staff at that point then worrying about the upcoming draft.

You know the old saying. There's a sucker born every minute.

Yeah I won't be paying $500-$1500 bucks to watch McCorkle play. Someone other sucker can pay Jed. Toss in some garlic fries and a beer for an extra $30 lol f**k that.

shanny knew who he was

"It was him with a number of other guys, guys I was hoping were going to come out earlier, but they didn't and so we looked at guys more that year and next year we had Jimmy," Shanahan said.

the only way McCorkle can win is with an outstanding cast of players around him... If we don'tt have that, God help us!

Cool, all they had to do was hire the understudy for this guy.
